Like i say, I'm aware of some localised fires when Antifa protests have [unacceptably] turned to riots but not entire city blocks being destroyed or, as some sensationalist Righties put it, entire cities burned.

It was not Biden he cant authorize anything yet hes not president until after his innauguration. This was actually done By Pence. Though Secretary of Defense has the authority to activate the D.C. National Guard on his own, However he did consult Vice President Pence. The fact that Trump was not involved suggests he was “missing in action” amid a national crisis. While the Secretary of the Army will exercise command authority, President Trump or the acting Secretary of Defense will have opportunities to inject themselves into the decision-making process, where they might direct troops to either stand down or even support protesters. Trump’s recent purge of Pentagon leadership means that some Trump loyalists may be in position to try to shape decisions. However, they have little formal and practical authority to do so.

There are more "peaceful protests" planned at the capitol. The 17th and 19th, I believe. People on Parler and GAB are calling for the assassination of Pence and Pelosi. A lot of lives will probably be lost to a LARP this month.

Of course I would expect to be shot. They were in the middle of an electoral process with the VP and Speaker of the House Inside. If the Capitol had tons of armed guards on the steps for a BLM March, they should have had it for this one. Social media for weeks before talked about how they were going to delay or stop the process.

Thank you, in all honesty I didn't realise the damage was so extensive. The problem is that America is almost split right down the middle and if one side rises up against the government the other side will support the government. The only time a protest would gain any real traction is if both sides are protesting for the same cause but Divide and Conquer seems to have stopped that kind of level or organisation from happening.
