A living postcard of Nature's wonders. A stag in a picturesque village

I know Christmas has come and gone, but I couldn't help but post this video of a stag majestically walking through Civitella Alfedena, a small town in the province of L'Aquila, Italy.

It is located in the heart of the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise. This location is not too far away from my mother's home town; a region I truly adore.

I find it evocative and a throwback to better times; a true living postcard of nature's wonders and its resilience to co-exist with mankind.

He was probably rummaging for scraps. It goes to show how healthy Italian garbage is. Waste not, want not.
