Not sure what it is really.....I have never watched or listened to one that was amazing all the way through, but it is like any album or concert....none play everything you want to hear.

So....I am a HUGE fan of The Greatest Showman and Moulin Rouge.

I listen to the soundtracks a couple times a week at least.

I also go to plays and have done a couple years of Improv Comedy training/shows.

I always laughed at peers in school that did theatre/drama....now I wish I had done it sooner. There is something very therapeutic about putting yourself in the position of others judging you....

It is very different from public speaking/presentations.

I find it very stimulating.

Anywho....thoughts?

The only musical i've seen in person was a musical based on the evil dead. The first four rows had a blood spray warning. One of the songs was called 'What the # Was That?'. It was a pretty great show.

Sounds like some G.W.A.R. concerts I have been to.

Yep. Was in Man of La Mancha (2 different performing comps), Camelot, Fiddler on the roof, 1776, How to Succeed in Business, West Side Story, Charlie's Aunt....

Wife and I just saw Jesus Christ Superstar at the Detroit Opera House, month before quarantine.

Musician...always loved the stage✌️

The stage has a odd calling doesn't it?

It does. I was a rock guitarist w band, recruited by the high school chorus teacher. I learned a lot about music, showmanship, projecting, theatre and many others.

Thanks for reminding me about it!👍✌️😉

Always had a fondness for Oklahoma! and My Fair Lady.

I was in Once Upon a Mattress in high school for the fun of it.

For my birthday everyone in the household (10 people) asked me what I wanted.

I said that I wanted everyone to watch Cats (2019).

What a mindfxck.
It wasn't a movie or a musical as much as it was an experience, like a hallucination that we all shared.

To quote the Evil Dead musical, after the viewing was over, everyone was wondering WTF was that?!

The word jellicle... My god the word jellicle.
I implore everyone to see it, it's a weird endurance test of sorts.
