Anyone playing or played Wasteland 3 ?

I like turn based RPGs , I like Fallout and enjoyed Wasteland 2 although I didn't finish it , so now I see Wasteland 3 on sale for £35 and wonder if anyone here has gone hands on with the game and what their experience / impressions are of the game as I'm thinking of picking it up.

I've seen and read reviews but wonder if anyone here has played it ?

played it Xbox via gamepass, I loved it, of course i have played all the previous games including the first on the Amiga way back when

I like that you have a vehicle to move about in this time (on the map), plenty of humour again, few call backs to the other games (no spoilers), ability to make decisions which change the game world (eg which factions occupy certain areas)

If you have the money (refund from cyberpunk :-) ) then purhcase it and you will enjoy it

Thanks for the response , I think I will get it just have to justify the purchase after buying Cyberpunk a couple of weeks ago.


Just one more Christmas present.

One thing I'd say is, i've really moved away and dislike MOAB (move on action button) games. In this game, i don't feel the bother I always do when playing a MOAB. VERY well done imo. Dont rush into combat, its unforgiving.

Also have been playing this with a friend on Xbox recently. Earlier in the year I played Fallout 1 and 2 for the first time and was absolutely in love.

This game is a pretty decent spiritual successor and has been a lot of fun.

I do know it's on game pass though.
If I remember correctly 3 also has multiplayer online!

From one that had the original Wasteland on C-64 the day it came out .

I actually watched a video on wasteland 3 comparing it to cyberpunk via free choice options.
Apparently W3’s choices are game impacting as opposed to the illusion that cyberpunks choices are impacting.
The reviewer even went as far as saying w3 was one of the best games of the year as far as story and length.

I might get it as well now.

Sticking with Cyberpunk as it's a good game but also treated myself to Wasteland because I've been a good boy this year , 15 hours in and it's all I hoped it would be.

he stayed with me until the end

Just finished the game with 47 hours played. I was hoping for more content after the big showdown at the end but wasn't really disappointed either. I could see myself doing another playthrough once the devs release an expansion. There were some minor bugs and some clunkiness but overall the game is like 9.5/10

I'm nearly at the end now but I think I made all the wrong decisions and killed all the wrong people.


Will effeminately play again knowing what I know now.
