Stars Wars fan here from the first in the late 70's.
Empire Strikes Back is a great Holiday Film.

But I have to say, " You'll shoot your eye out",
A Christmas Story is the modern classic.

Have a wonderful Christmas!
I think I will watch Ep. 5 tomorrow night too.
Thanks!

A couple not mentioned:

Muppet Christmas Carol— best version of Dickens’ classic out there.

Muppet Family Christmas

Home Alone 1 & 2

I am a fan of self, but it’s either love it or hate it.

Not a huge fan of the Santa Clause movies the older I get.

1. A Charlie Brown Christmas - I don't think anything says Christmas to me quite like this cartoon.

2. A Christmas Carol (1938 version) - Pretty haunting movie if you come right down to it. This was the best one.

3. A Christmas Story - I remember about 1990 or so I watched this movie for the 1st time and thought...'How could I have never seen this movie before???.' It wasn't until years later I realized it wasn't filmed until 1986. I thought it was a 50's flick!

4. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (original) - A timeless classic.

5. White Christmas (with 1954 version with Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye) - Mostly because Mom would stop the presses and make everyone be quiet so she could watch it...every...single...year! She was in love with Bing Crosby.

Never really got into the whole Die Hard thing with Bruce Willis. How this came to be a Christmas movie I'll never understand.

My absolute favorite Christmas movie.

I'll probably throw it on tomorrow.

Oh, and then there's the best Christmas movie of all -- Lord of the Rings extended version trilogy. It has nothing at all to do with Christmas except for one thing; it's the only thing long enough to properly outlast the Christmas prep. So it goes in when all the wrapping and baking begins, and odds are that it's still running when it all finishes up.

So voila! Christmas movie because it's likely the only time all year it goes in unless I'm doing serious convalescent time on the couch.

I'm right there with you on that one.
Except I go through the Hobbit ones first. Then to the LoTR series.

I would say probably because most Christmas movies are very saccharin sweet, happy, happy, joy, joy, and while there's nothing wrong with that and some of us like that, some of us also like a little action mixed in.

Die Hard takes place during Christmas at a Christmas party, and it's a nice change of genre pace from all the rest.

It also explains my desire to stick in Lord of the Rings while baking and wrapping -- It's just different after watching all the others and it's a nice change for a while.

I get where your heading with LotR.

We get in the mood for Harry Potter movies.

Nothing to do with Christmas really but for some reason it sets the seasonal mood.

At least with the Harry Potter movies, I think all of them have scenes that take place during the Christmas holiday where the characters are getting presents and such.

The old clay-mation rudolph movie. The ice climber/lumberjack guy was my favorite.
I torture my kids with it now.

Yukon Cornelius?

a shout out to Ernest Saves Christmas.

and Charlie Brown.

The Princess Bride.

Kid gets sick over Christmas break. You can see Christmas lights on the houses outside, he’s got a Santa Claus hanging on his closet, and the book is a wrapped Christmas present.
