I just envisioned someone who has been ill for some time but will not anticipate getting a sudden stroke or some kind of physical attack rendering unexpectedly immobile & unable to speak for a while.
When this happens they appear to be primarily concerned about someone (family members/authorities) going thru their personal things & discovering something embarrassing.
