Dame Barbara Windsor - star of EastEnders for decades - dies aged 83

Dame Barbara Windsor, star from the non PC, but funny, 'Carry on films' and the non funny, 'Eastenders' has died....while, 'Eastenders' universally did show that she could act very well, which had been shown already in other areas and no matter, people liked her.

Sad she has gone, R.I.P. Babs.

So sad to hear this news. Whilst we all knew it was coming, this one still hurts. I was born in the ‘70s and raised on the carry on films so this really is a huge loss. RIP Babs

Her life has given us so many visual memories (not to mention that giggle to counter the laugh of Sid James).
But matron finally took them away.

Very sad to see her leave us. For such a lively soul, she must have suffered tremendously with her debilitating illness.

Her smile, voice and performances will continue to echo in my mind... that is the legacy of an iconic artist.
