Studio "REEEEEEEEEEE, REEEEEEEEEE, you know how oppressed whaman are, you know how racist the 90's were, honestly it's like you're intentioanlly bigoted, I bet you voted for . . . . !!!!!!!!"?

Director "Just, just, pay me money and I'll write your script, thank you master"!

Studio "That's better, now - female lead; moral lessons; some celebrity who can't act; NOT TOO MUCH SLAPSTICK, this film isn't about fun it's about learning the lessons of racism and sexism, patriarchy and race history". The only real things the common man cares about!

Director "It's Tom and Jerr......."


Studio "Do you need a trip to the . . . . . . .Dungeon"?

Director "No, sir, I'll have your film ready in, say, 3 hours"?

Studio "Yes, yes, YESSSSSSS AHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, Ahem, Yes, good, release the trailer with all the funny bits and make sure you highlight, as much as possible, that female lead, we'll make her super witty"!


This is the formula for, basically, all of Hollywood, they have a narrative and they're going to push it until society shifts back to adulthood again. The polarization, even in films now, is so depressing. Everyone has a lesson to give, it's annoying.

Looks beyond hideous.

I will be still be sticking to the Fred Quimby produced T&J. All of the others just don't seem as funny, including this new movie.

I'm not sure which remake abuse is going to make me sob in the corner harder -- the Akira remake, the Blade remake or the Little Shop of Horrors remake...

Some of the early Tom and Jerry's are masterful works of art in the medium of traditional animation.
There was a gradual decline in quality when Hannah/Barbera realized they could keep profits up while marketing a cheaper product.
I'm going to stick to my fond memories of the glory days.
If this movie isn't a complete suck fest I will gladly eat crow.

having a good actor/actress does not change a remake, sequel , reboot is a crapfest (even though thats the current thinking of hollywood)
