The war on drugs is really just a war on people, and choice..might be the worlds most expensive, and collosal failure..something needs changing.

I read it but it doesn’t make what you said anymore correct.

It certainly does, they are not the same thing.

Im speaking from a position as someone who saw firsthand what it did to someone. Go find your own statistics.

I known true alcoholics and I have known people that smoke pot all day long, but they are a small percentage of everyone else that does the same thing too. Its like Nicotine is one of the top addictive drugs we got, but we see some people who smoke 3 packs a day and can not quit in anyway while other can quit, and still others can smoke a pack a week or less. We always hear about the addicts but never the overall.

A few drugs like Heroin there is little or no "recreational" use and there is a big difference between snorters/smokers/pills compared to injectors in not only socioeconomic status but also mental states to begin with. So yes, people that inject are most likely already have huge issues to begin with. I never known anyone to inject for fun...

Yes they are, you’re wrong, regardless if you’re willing to admit it or not. Stop moving the goalpost. Pure crack is pure coc aine, period.

Just think of the tax revenue that could create for their country. Of course, the cost will be paid by the consumer of the product and legalizing it will make it more easier to export it to other countries.

I know people who use coke a few times a month and not 10 lines a day, so I think that is more like comparing a alcoholic to a typical drinker.

It may say something of my circle of friends, but I have yet to meet a casual tooter. I have several who won't do it again because they said it was too good. It scared them.

I imagine America will be displeased about this. They send around $800 million/year in aid to Columbia to fight their war on drugs and I suppose the CIA is likely to be upset at losing a huge source of black funds.

The opportunity for reasearch seems like a good thing though. Most illegal drugs are severely under studied due to current laws and however good or bad, more research on something used around the world by lots of people is probably a good thing.

You're right about this, America won't like this. And might blame Columbia for their ongoing problem with this substance and that would be a reason for sanctions on Columbia they may not be able to handle. Not to mention the criminal gangs who won't like it. They ought to think twice about this. Or maybe three times!

We had this coca tea in SA called "Inca Tea".

I bought it once and thought it tasted like old slippers, and I felt less stimulated than after an average tea-bag for a fraction of the price.

Apparently it had some other vitamins or minerals, but suddenly they took it off the shelves.

But that wasn't even traditional coca as used in the Andean republics.
I mean they don't drink it as tea for stimulating properties.
Although traditionally they might be brewing it and using it in cooking too, for purposes completely unrelated to "drugs", such as flavorants (a "spice" of sorts). And it does have nutritional value.

As for the synthetic "hard drug", I don't use it, but I'd still think that providing standard and pure doses is the lesser evil to, or than having people snorting drain-cleaner and whatnot.

No, it isn't, it's reprocessed with other ingredients added to it.

I have heard that about Heroin, but not coke as much.

You have no clue what you’re talking about. Not going to point out your mistake again.

Smoking it causes very intense craving for more, and that is pretty much instant. Heroin is a bit much seductive in how it sucks you in. The heroin is truly more addictive in every way. The other is a rush, and chasing that rush. The next day, any craving is a mental thing..not to dismiss that aspect.
