You know whats funny, walking up Vesuvius and seeing steam rise from some areas, knowing that even a mini-eruption would have killed me.

Yep, I been up a number of other volcanoes and that idea always comes to mind. Like walking on a mountain trail and imagining a land slide will get ya...

But they aren't bodies they're chalk casts , thy're visible ghosts.

The bodies of these victims remained in the same position as when the pyroclastic flow hit them and, being covered by calcified layers of ash, the form of their bodies was preserved even after the biological material decomposed. Thanks to the method perfected by Giuseppe Fiorelli, since 1863 a little over a hundred casts have been made.

You're being rather foolish, these two exceptional dudes aside, these are (mostly, AFAIK) effectively just hardened ash molds left behind in Pompeii, not bodies. Very oversimplified on my part, but not what YOU assume by any means.

You must be a hoot at Egyptian museum exhibits when you get to the mummies.

I have seen a lot of things online and in life as I am old, that I would not want to go see for vacation.

Grave yes. Again I say it is not even anywhere near the same, closer would be googling at an accident on the road before they haul away those killed.
