If you've got an Xbox One X or are planning on getting an Xbox Series X this is what you can expect to see in Cyberpunk 2077 ... graphically. On what should have been Cyberpunk week CD Projekt Red have released this Night City Wire Special.

***Spoiler***
Looking good on both systems.

I got my Series X and am a little disappointed there are so few games to see what it's capable of.

I also think I need to upgrade my TV and move to a monitor now that it's got more juice than it's older brothers.

Edit: cyberpunk isn't optimized for Series X 😔

I have something to look forward to on my computer ... too bad I'll have no real time to give it some love over the holidays. I'll be confined to a couple or three hours at night since there will be things I don't want my kid to see, and with all the cars in it, he'll be convinced he needs to play it if he sees them.

I'll need to preview it first to figure out if there will be mini-games I can let him mess with or not.

I know there are places in the Dragon Age and Mass Effect games I let him mess with while I won't let him play the whole thing out yet, so I keep special saves on hand I can fire up as he requests them. Or I turn him loose with a party in DA Inquisition with no gore to run around whacking things for a while - it's the story that's the adult part there.

I may find similar bits in Cyberpunk for him, but I'll have to see it all first.

That's where I'm at. And what time I do have I'm usually too burnt out to enjoy it.

I can't even imagine how you parents do it. I applaud you all.

Most of the time, I play turn based or stuff I can easily hit a pause button on. With turn based, it sits and waits for you as long as you need, and with stuff you can easily hit a pause button on - ditto, so you can easily deal with the random, "Mom, mom, mom ..." moments or hop up to do some bit of housework. The more action based a game is, it gets harder to hit that pause button and just jump right back in to the middle of what you were doing though.

I will get at least two days with Cyberpunk where kiddo will be at school, and I won't be in the middle of my work cycle when it drops, so there is that.

Games like RimWorld and XCOM and the Civ series get a lot of play in this house.

Well I hope the game is what it's hyped up to be so you can get two good days in. Sounds like it's much needed and well deserved.

I'll be buying it as well, I'm trying not too set my expectations too high though and go in with an open mind. I have been hearing the hype but haven't looked into what the game is really about, the style it is, or anything but a bit of the art which does look great.

I think the last masterpiece was Red Dead Redemption 2. One of the most stunning games graphically, and it was super immersive, and oddly calming like you were really out in the middle of no where.

Everyone always raves about the Witcher games, but I could never get hooked into them. I think part of it was that I never really got hooked into Geralt. Hopefully being able to make my own protagonist will bridge the gap that was missing with the Witcher games.

Ah, the beautiful sacrifice that comes with adulthood and being a decent parent.

I have heard tell of such things.

I will be happily immersed in exploration of the new world for many consecutive weeks... but will die alone.

It just hit me that had things gone according to plan, the game would have been out for around 24 hours give or take by now.

If you have a PlayStation 4 Pro or are getting a PlayStation 5 here's Cyberpunk 2077 running on Sony's hardware.

Far too old to be playing on consoles. Having said that, the wife has already got me one..........but i'm not allowed it until Christmas!

Can't decide if that her makes her the best wife ever or if it's grounds for divorce....

Awesome game but there have been others. A Plague Tale: Innocence is another master piece and i really loved Kingdom Come Deliverance, although that did annoy some people!

i have an xbox 1x but am willing to wait until i get a next gen console now, after adoring the witcher 3 i dont wish to become sour on CDPR
