I found myself wanting to reply to most of the responses so I figured I'd just do a generic response and you can figure out if it relates your reply....

Prior to 2016, I never paid any attention to Trump. Why would I? He was a reality TV star and I rarely watch television, let alone reality TV. He was a seemingly successful businessman who has had some documented failings and very public lawsuits, but who has come back from failure and rebuilt an empire. Just the gumption to NOT QUIT and try to learn from your mistakes has to say something about his persistence. Lots of people will throw stones and say he was given a leg up by his father.... That can be said about *many* people from generational wealth & success, but I don't think you can deny that Trump has EARNED his success which went far beyond where his family came from...

Like some of you, I held my nose and voted for him in 2016. He was the only real viable choice.... I honestly felt there were better options - Ted Cruz, for one. But that's not how things ultimately shook out... God moves in mysterious ways.

I agree that he is not your average politician. This is his appeal to so many voters who come from blue collar America. This is exactly what the Democrats don't understand because they live in a bubble and truly don't understand the struggles of the "average American."

Trump stands for ideals... He doesn't give a rat's @$$ what political party stands for those ideals...which is why he has flipped from Democrat to Republican. Honestly, if he thought he could get elected as a Libertarian, I'd better that would be the party he'd prefer. Why do you think the Republican "Never Trumpers" don't like him? Because ultimately he doesn't believe in the ongoing wars and profiting of the military industrial complex. That's not to say he doesn't believe in a strong MILITARY.

Trump believes in the core of the constitution which is to LIMIT GOVERNMENT and let people LIVE AND LET LIVE. He believes in the PEOPLE who make up the core of this country...not just the wealthy. Not just the well-connected. And I think that this experience has opened his initially naive eyes about how far we have silently slid towards socialist control that he truly feels afraid for our country and our freedoms. This fight has become personal for him now...

The quote from Fox is right on. This is not a vote for a man. This is a vote for the ideals that underscore what America has always stood for and been about. These ideals are blatantly under attack. Trump knows it and has become the messenger of this truth.

It is easier to say what I'm NOT voting for, as in the Green New Deal...

I'm voting for an ELE.

I figured if Giant Meteor wasn't in the ballot as printed,
a write-in would have let the worst Democratic
hopeful slide in--- after a Vaudeville hook of 25th Am.
at one coffee break later.
Like I'm sure quite a few others, the reason I voted was to keep
who the DNC/Politburo picked OUT, maybe the worst ever.
But you're still right about an ELE v. Purple Gang.. a no-brainer.

I'm voting for 4 more years of America first and streamlining government.

I'm voting to send a message to the leftist/statist mob that their domestic terrorism is not effective.

I'm voting for my son to have access to a part-time job with a non-inflated wage when he can start earning his own paychecks and understand why it's good to have a plan for his future.

I am voting to preserve The Constitution and to keep socialism from completely engulfing and destroying our country, at least for the next four years.
On Trump’s personality, this idea that he is insufferable and non-presidential is mostly msm propaganda. They drilled in our minds that Trump is terrible and everyone repeats it without giving a second thought. I personally find it refreshing that finally somebody stands up to the propaganda machine and tells the truth directly. For example in Kavanaugh’s case, everyone msm, Republicans, fox commentators kept saying that woman was so credible... whaaat? I was outraged, she was clearly lying and nobody dared to say it. Tide finally turned when President Trump said it at a rally... of course he was attacked and slaughtered by the msm propaganda for exposing their plot and lies.
I am voting for the person who will stand up against the all powerful msm propaganda machine

Trump only believes in $. How naive does one have to be to believe that Trump would change the system that made him rich?!

The wealthy and well connected are thriving just like under any former president.
You don't get elected as president so the average Joe can get wealthy, you get elected because someone from the establishment wants you to be POTUS.

The core of The Constitution is Freedom, the freedom afforded to every one of us to pursue our happiness the way we see fit. If this system made Trump and many others very wealthy I am fine with it. I, as an average Maria, want this system to be preserved not replaced with the dystopian horror of socialism. Btw one of socialism’s appeal is the envy on other’s wealth...

If Trump only believes in $, then why has he donated his ENTIRE Presidential salary to charity?

It has been well documented that the "establishment" hates Trump.... There has never been any attempt in the history of the United States like the last 4 years in a concerted effort to overturn a duly elected President. This has happened BECAUSE the establishment is unable to buy or control Trump.

There has never been any President who is more "anti-establishment" as Trump.

I'm voting for our country to get back to "normal" as soon as possible so that people stop suffering from the man made disaster we are now living through.

I am also voting to maintain the higher standard of living I have enjoyed the last few years.

I am also voting to try and help the Democratic party come to terms with the radicaliztion that is occurring within their party so that they can get back to fighting for justice for all, equality, and diversity of thought.

I am voting for lower taxes. I am voting for an end to lock downs and mask mandates. I am voting for the Bill of Rights as written. I am voting for the COTUS as written. I am voting for my right to my opinions and beliefs and to not be persecuted for the same. I am voting for a future where perhaps those values continue because I have a son. I am voting for an end to Critical Race Theory ... also because I have a son and he is white and as his mother I love him very, very much. I am voting for the hope of school choice because of Critical Race Theory and the things mentioned above and also because my son has a specific learning disability. I am voting for a country where I make my choices about the important things in my life instead of being herded into collectivized policies where a government bureaucrat makes the decisions for me.

I'm voting to preserve the republic from a calculated international Marxist take over that appears chaired from Beijing.

After everything I have seen, this is the conclusion that I have come to. China is subverting the United States and it is doing so with a sophisticated combination of massive data mining and social engineering.

Well considering that this years election campaign is around 10.8 billion, and its been in the billions since likely the 90s and if you count how much they spent on the election campaign every 4 years since 2008 is about 30 billion spent just on these campaigns.

And thats on just the crap show known as the race for the potus. Not to mention all that other things which are even more of a waste of time and resources. And meanwhile now there are more homeless in most if not all states since the 40s, and does not look like things are getting all that better for the majority.

But hey you could almost build a space elevator to the near orbit space station using that money. Or? Pay for the worlds most boring and tarded show every 4 years. With talking points and plot lines that look like a 15 year old wrote them.

I would say that the if you remove yourself from it all and look down on it with impartial view. Then the whole of the human race and this political show that goes on every 4 years and all the people who supported it which are now living in tents in California and Seattle and other places, anybody who believe it, can only be classified as either a cucumber, or retarded.

And then they wonder how they got there.

So if I were to vote, I would vote to skip the whole retard dog and pony show this year shut all that crap down, maybe take all the money going in to it all, and build a moon base or something, and at some later date if that be next year or next hundread or next thousand years. If there is somebody worth voting for, then possibly maybe, we should think about voting him or her or them in.

Maybe.

Till then its just tard stuff.

So far there have been little to no changes despite who people have voted for. Case in point, I will say a vote of no confidence is the only vote that matters and the only sane option. And also out of 7 something billion people here on this rock, there may be not even 1 person out there who would be worth voting for.

Or as saint George said. Politics is just mental masturbation.
