history in the making with this upcoming (Oct 17, 2020) boxing match.
the press conference was interesting. up until this conference i had the fight at a 50/50 on who would win. after watching the video, i believe Lomachenko will win.

youtube link to the conference: youtu.be...

Lopez seemed nervous. after all the trash talk in the previous weeks, i expected more confidence from him. instead he seemed timid. his responses didn't seem genuine. it is a big deal when all the press, the lights, the promotors, and fans all clamor around you. not every fighter can handle the attention. Lopez seemed distracted.

this is boxing and anything can happen. Lopez might show up on fight night like a man possessed .

i'd like to see the winner of this match fight the winner of the Leo SantaCruz vs. Gervonta Davis match.

i'm looking forward to this one. it has the potential to be fight of the year.

I think Lomochenko is the best pound for pound boxer in the world even at his age.... so fast and accurate, he will unify the titles

The only loss hes taken in his pro career was totally BS...

No one can beat that guy

i agree, Lomachenko is the best right now.
if he beats Lopez and unifies the lightweight division, he will be on my top five personal favorite boxers.

Eh, it can/will eventually happen. The best have always had that one guy who outmasters them.

of course... you can only be the best for so long

He already has one loss.... but IF you actually watch that fight... it was totally a case of corrupt judges

Boxing has always been one of the, IF not the most corrupt sport

but Lomachenko has a 396-1 record including his amature career... got into the pros late in life and has already been robbed once... so i guess you never know

Though i have no doubt he will unify the titles...

a youtuber uploaded a video counting the low blows Salido hit Lomachenko with. the count at the end of the video was 67 low blows!

Lopez is a heck of a good fighter. Big punch, good speed and technique. But he is young and that matters in boxing. Lomo has crazy skills, crazy speed, crazy footwork, and can throw punches from 50 different angles seemingly at the same time. Usually when a boxing match comes down to the bigger puncher needing to "catch" the other guy with a big shot, it doesn't bode well for him. While he's trying to catch the elusive guy in front of him, he is getting peppered and beat down with shots coming back at him. I'm not a big Lomo fan, I would like to see him lose, but unless the size and power difference is a bigger deal than I think it will be, I would think Lomo wins by the 8th round or so. I just hope it's a good fight.

what happened to Lomachenko?
he did nothing for the first 5 or 6 rounds. i believe he could have done some damage if he chose to.

compubox punch stats:

if sitting back and waiting for Lopez to make a mistake was the plan....... it was a bad plan.

Well dang, if I knew he wasn't going to throw any punches for the first 6 rounds, I wouldn't have been so sure of myself. 🙁

He wins the rematch tough! lol
