It was pretty easy to tell they weren't by the way the press was talking about it all when the story broke today. The closest they came was to refer to militias.

If there had been any links at all, it would have been all over the place by now, but it's not and there aren't even the usual voices in here taunting about it. So any real evidence linking this to MAGA type stuff is scant.

In that thread all the rally goers were called Patriots by ATS. Well he recently sicced the National Guard on peaceful protesters so he could take a photo-op.

And there's also the fact that pretty much the first act he took as President involved having the DOJ cover up evidence that exonerated the protesters arrested at his inauguration.

Both of those seem pretty unconstitutional.

Hey, never say never, Dipwhit is well-known up here for being anti-gun, and anti-militia. It would have been fairly ingenious if pulled off right, actually. An inside job, if ever there was one.
Had no one screwed up, this could have been an easy Martyr Maker.

Proof in the proverbial pudding that it wasn't the militia groups behind it was the fact someone squealed like a Deliverance piggy to the authorities, when a group WAS approached. That's not characteristic of co-conspirators.
