A signature piece of legislation, the Biden/Hatch Crime Bill, which eventually became the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act.
If Joe Biden was trying to vastly increase the rates of incarceration for Blacks and Hispanics, he really succeeded at that.
Robert Gates, who served as the secretary of defense under George W. Bush and Barack Obama, wrote in his 2014 memoir that Biden “has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.” Last year, Gates reiterated his concerns. “I think that the vice president had some issues with the military,” he declared on CBS’s Face the Nation.
Now Biden’s back on the campaign trail, and no one could be more thrilled than the Chinese Communist Party. (A Forbes headline last year summed up the situation well: “Joe Biden Is the Only Man Who Can Save China in 2020.”) Biden’s announcement of his campaign alone was enough to encourage Beijing suddenly to take a harder line on trade negotiations with the Trump administration. As Biden’s star seemed to fade, China suddenly got easier to deal with, striking a “Phase 1” deal with us in January.
Biden, in 2011, went to China to push 'close ties' between US colleges & communist regime
Biden specifically said that relations should “include all levels of government...classrooms and laboratories, athletic fields and boardrooms."
Biden also called for closer military ties with the communist regime and said it should be easier for Chinese businesspeople to travel to the United States.
Who was in US political leadership in 2014 as China surpassed the US in economic power, and in 2015-2016 as China surpassed the US in GDP and manufacturing output?
Obama/Biden.
Who assisted China to achieve such dramatic manufacturing and technological advantage, and how has China advanced so quickly beyond the US in manufacturing and technology?
Biden.
One of the strongest contributing factors to the growth of China as an economic mega power was intervention by political leader Senator/VP Joe Biden in the international arena granting most favored nation status to the Chinese and making backroom deals which benefited the Communist Chinese agenda at the cost of US jobs, technology, and manufacturing superiority.

Vote for who ever you want you should make up your own mind.
As for anything that Biden did that was worth while well that is subjective .
While VICE president the economy was the worst its been in well for ever But towards the end of Obama's second term it was Improving . How much old joe had to do with it you could debate for months .
Really the choice is between who is worst and its sad its come down to that .The Trump people talk about how great Trump is and how bad Biden is and yet Biden is neck and neck so really what does that say about Trump ?
One thing for sure Trump was president the last 4 years Biden has never been .
My take is From old Joe him self Nothing will change back to business as usual . Question is was Business as usal ( the last 30 years ) better then the last 4 ? And if the answer is yes is there any possibility of a better person next election ? No way JOE makes 2 terms .
Every one here completely iggys The FACT Trump wins its just 4 YEARS then he is out no way no how will anyone stand for there pipe dream of 3rd terms or 12 more years .
That fact is enough to sway me as even joking its NO JOKE ! I don't believe for one mint given the chance to stay for life Trump would step down that should scare the crap out of all of us the last president we ever have would be Trump after that only who is oked By the Government will ever be leader and each for LIFE !.
What great things has Biden done in 47 years? -- Sources Required
Vice President Biden on Friday announced that Amtrak will receive a $2.45 billion federal loan.
The loan, which the White House says is the largest in the history of the Department of Transportation, will be used to buy 28 new trainsets and to improve rails and stations along the Northeast Corridor, according to an announcement from Biden’s office.
Throughout the country, however, Amtrak is heavily subsidized by the federal government and loses money annually. In 2015, it reported a $306.5 million loss.

As the title says, I am opening the floor for an honest, sourced list of all of the great things Joe Biden has done to earn your vote? Since the overwhelming majority of Liberals here on ATS these days seem to be Biden supporters, this should be easy, right?
The only rule is you have to have a credible source (something besides a Twitter post from a guy with "resist" and a bunch of Blue Waves in his/her/its bio) and you can't use logical fallacy ("well Donald Trump is orange and I hate Russia and RACIST blah blah).
You have to give me honest to goodness net positive things that Biden has done during his 47+ years working for the people of this great nation and you have to have at least one or more credible sources to play along, please.
Before you go piling on, I'm not a liberal, democrat, republican, etc. I'd probably best describe myself as a mostly conservative Libertarian. I try to vote for the lesser of two evils every election, regardless of parties, as there are no perfect candidates. I was not happy with either candidate in the 2016 election - although I was really excited about what would happen if some random outsider just suddenly became President. I was rooting for Trump to do well after he got elected and genuinely tried to have an open mind. Definitely not a Biden was wired guy, but I haven't drank the Kool-Aid either. Unless I'm completely missing something, I'm just not convinced at this point though. Change my mind?
So what say you, ATS. Sell me on Joe Biden - why should I vote for him in 2020?
