I see many members with an unlikely amount of stars, like this guy/gal with a whopping 16 million stars and an average of 1364 stars per post - the guy only has 120 threads, there must be some mistake or bug or something?!

Those are the ATS politicians. We discussed that long ago here, evidently there was some sort of glitch so they gave the old timers lots of stars and flags because their stuff did not transfer from what I was told....told this from someone with lots of stars and flags. Hmmm.....being a conspiracy site should I actually believe a moderator with mega stars and flags?
I did anyway, it really doesn't matter.

If this place shuts down I will lose all my stars...
I'll be depressed for a whole day and may have to get drunk that night.

I think it was an old bug where you could re-star as many times as you cared to refresh the page. Anyone with an average of 1600 stars per post is obviously a member during that period.

I heard that it was a bug in the star-counting process, only applicable to members from one period, in which some figure gets multiplied instead of being added.

There are a couple of members that post daily since 2005... no matter how many stars they get per post. It never registers. Still shows X amount of stars, flags and trophies and will never increase.

In the past when I got "applause' from the staff, I could've sworn it went to stars but I could be wrong because it doesn't do that now.

It's a bug that affects older accounts.

I know how it happens but I'm not going to say it publicly to avoid people doing it on purpose.

HA! Never thought I'd be the example for the excessive stars glitch debate.

That said, isn't it obvious? I'm a wizard

The biggest conspiracy theory, in ATS history...

"Stargate"

Screw Daniel Jackson, screw Jack Oneill... someone's egos are getting stroked, more than mine...

We need "Titanius Anglesmith, Fancy Man of Cornwood" to sort this all out...
