The 90's , a time of all-nighters , raves , gigs and "sweeties" ... Oh and The KLF.
I was in a rock band at the time so not really my music but I loved the mythos they built around themselves and the music they produced , they were indeed Justified.

My favourite ..."They're Justified and they're Ancient and they drive an ice cream van" ....

Fishing in the rivers of life.

Good shout....... The mighty KLF, otherwise known as The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu, furthermore known as The Jamms.

For me, the seminal album from The KLF was 'Chill Out'. A 50 minute journey into the realms of this reality and the one beyond, to the outermost limits of the quantum continuum. For those who've not had the pleasure, just check it out on Youtube (I cannae link). There is also 'Space', worthy of your consideration and time, but no where near as finely crafted as 'Chill Out'.

I'm a proud owner of both on vinyl and 'Chill Out' has been in my 'current' pile since 1991.

Awesome.

a bit of not so trivial trivia for you

K Foundation Burn a Million Quid

en.wikipedia.org...

K Foundation Burn a Million Quid was a performance art action on 23 August 1994 in which the K Foundation (an art duo consisting of Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty) burned cash in the amount of one million pounds sterling in a disused boathouse on the Ardfin Estate on the Scottish island of Jura. The money represented the bulk of the K Foundation's funds, earned by Drummond and Cauty as The KLF, one of the United Kingdom's most successful pop groups of the early 1990s.

At the time I was more of a simple minds and U2 fan (I have outgrown that taste however) but while there music has mostly dated the KLF by contrast is still as great today as it was back then, The Justified and the Ancient with Tammy Wynette was utterly brilliant.

I always liked this group. One of the first groups to start the whole stadium craze. They definitely did their own thing.

That’s so weird, I was just on their wiki last night. Loved this band when I was a kid. Definitely helped shape my love for electronic music. Big S/F buddy!

I still listen to that to go to sleep sometimes.
Great ambient album.
IIRC they made that with 2 Atari ST computers.

The KLF also built a sound system into an ice cream van, which was so loud that it was classed as a sonic weapon and had to be tested on some military testing range...so I read anyhow
