Its a kids football game right?
Use foul language at such events and you will be removed.
Their venue
Their rules

The video shows her encounter with some kind of law enforcement. She had been asked to leave prior?
She is screwed.

I agree, she was outdoors, why the hell does she need a mask, so her resisting was perfectly understandable, where as old big boy taser lord needs training.

Actually, she had not been asked to leave prior. There was supposedly no warning.

According to Tiffany Kennedy, the woman who shot the above video, Kitts had not been warned for not wearing a mask prior to the officer approaching her. Kennedy also said that Kitts has asthma and that’s why she was not wearing a mask.

This was pulled from the source I linked earlier. It was put there from a local paper.

Ugh...
She should have left when they asked her to leave.

If it's a public school, payed for by tax money, it is a public space she was legally entitled to be. You cannot be trespassed from public spaces.

Bs
She wasn't on a public sidewalk.
She aggreed to the rules upon entry.
Nice try tho

Since when are "security guards" allowed to handcuff people? I worked armed security for several years. We weren't allowed to detain somebody let alone cuff them.

Hmmm
The video does not show that?

Too bad she didn't comply, imo she could have had standing to sue.

It is legal to resist an unlawful arrest.

No it’s not. Wrote a whole thread about it.

I mean for all any of us know, she wore a mask into the game and to her seat at which point she followed Ohio rules which say that if you are outside and socially distanced you don't need one and with her having asthma, she took her mask off. Suddenly a police officer shows up and handcuffs her for doing what Ohio rules say she's entitled to do.

I can imagine who that might cause someone to flip their sh1t, however unwise.

She was asked to put on a mask. She refused.

So she was asked to leave. She again refused.

What did you expect to cop to do? Just say " ok let's forget it " and walk away.

Then the cop should have been sporting one, too. Otherwise, yes, walk the # away and leave it be. If the enforcer can't be bothered to wear what's enforced, why enforce it to begin with.

Tell me what she did to warrant arrest.

STATEWIDE MASK ORDER

Governor DeWine announced that beginning on Thursday, July 23, at 6:00 p.m., a statewide mask mandate will go into effect for citizens living in all 88 Ohio counties.

"Our preliminary data indicate that the rate of increase in new cases has slowed in the high-risk counties where masks are already mandated, so we are cautiously optimistic that things are heading in the right direction," said Governor DeWine. "We believe that requiring masks statewide will make a significant difference and will be key to making sure other counties do not progress to a higher level of increased spread."

All individuals in Ohio must wear facial coverings in public at all times when:

At an indoor location that is not a residence
Outdoors, but unable to maintain six-foot social distance from people who are not household members
Waiting for, riding, driving, or operating public transportation, such as a taxi, a car service, or a private car used for ride-sharing.
The order only requires those 10 years old or older to wear a mask. Additional exclusions include:

Those with a medical condition or a disability or those communicating with someone with a disability;
Those who are actively exercising or playing sports;
Those who are officiants at religious services;
Those who are actively involved in public safety; or
Those who are actively eating or drinking.
Schools should follow the guidance previously issued pertaining to masks.

So long as you don’t complain about them removing their masks while they’re engaged in an activity covered by an exclusion

Not at all. The masks will come off organically when their heads do anyhow.

TMZ is reporting the officer discussed the mask and told her she would have to leave.
She was arrested for trespassing, because she would not leave when requested.

It is no different than parents I have seen removed for yelling obscenitys.
Violate the policy, you get to leave.
Don't leave you get charged.

Ohio's mask mandate, it turns out, is more a request than a requirement.

So far, there haven't been many, if any, legal consequences for those who have defied Gov. Mike DeWine's order to wear masks indoors in public in COVID-19 hotspots, based on research by the Cincinnati Enquirer in southwest Ohio.

When The Enquirer asked the governor's office, area health department officials and the Ohio Department of Health whether they could issue a fine to a maskless person, no one could answer with a clear yes or no.

It appears they poorly executed the "mask" rule.
But that does not mean she doesn't have to leave when requested.

She should have left then sued.

The new statewide order directs enforcement questions to local health departments. However, Governor DeWine reminded Ohioans during a July 7 press conference, when the mask mandate affecting only Level 3 counties went into effect, that the current penalty for violating an Ohio health order is a criminal misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail or a fine not greater than $750. Although the governor indicated that anticipated enforcement measures related to state mask mandates are still being evaluated, several law enforcement agencies across the state, including the Cincinnati Police Department, the Norwood Police Department, and the Butler County Sheriff’s Department, have directed that all issues and potential violations be directed to local health department officials.

Governor DeWine

dam this is a republican state, i can imagine ATS if this was a democrat state (24th September 2020 😆 😆 😆 Uh Oh ) , maybe thats why some members are supporting the tactics used, take your blinkers off this is not right in any way, the civilian was outdoors sitting with freinds/family and not within 6 feet of others from other households

Seems pubs shutting at 10pm in the UK is nothing compared to being tased for being outdoors

Blah blah blah
You simply do not understand the circumstances.
She was at a kids game on school grounds.
You follow the rules or you get removed.
Upon entry you surrender some of your rights.
She chose not to comply and got arrested.

While the mask rules ARE STUPID AND INEFFECTIVE the school gets to make the rules for its property.

I posted the rules. She was not in violation. She should lodge a civil rights violation. The black cop obviously had something against small white women because she was not in violation of any order issued by the state to which the governor advised all enforcement to local health departments.

"While the mask rules ARE STUPID AND INEFFECTIVE the school gets to make the rules for its property."

Then the school has an obligation to make sure that those "rules" are posted where they are clearly visible. They need to be understandable and should be posted in multiple languages. It would then be up to a representative of the SCHOOL to to ask her to comply before the Police become involved.

One question. Was the Police Officer acting in their role as a police officer or was he being paid by the school to be security? That's a whole gray area when it comes to being able to arrest someone.

Frankly this smells.
