Colorado as well has had some huge fires this summer. It has been really awful and the air quality is so poor that you want to wear the stupid masks. The largest one in state history is finally under control but then just to have another break out.
Over the weekend we had temperatures soaring over 100F and then on Tuesday it snowed and went down to 28F.
It feels like we are under attack between the virus, fires, food shortages and now this super odd weather.
Lots of us have seen our vegetable crops destroyed and we were all just starting to get our big harvest in the next few weeks.
By the weekend it should be around 80F. Lots of people are very stressed right now. Add this to the political situation that many people are worried about.

I thought Kim Dotcom was fairly anti-Trump.

My sister lives in a very small red town in Colorado. She's told me about the fires and the wild weather.

Crazy.

Her stories about human behavior during the beginning of the lockdown were pretty interesting too. People from Kansas were trying to raid the tiny, local grocery stores. The stores locked their doors and required a local driver's license to shop. 👍

She is nowhere near the Kansas border.

Do you think this is the October surprise? The Dems are going to lose their minds. This is some interesting strategy because how will they direct more of their energy to another issue. They have poured so much hate and attention on the virus, BLM, forest fires, ANTIFA and trying to manage an unelectable Hiden for president.and now what they fear the most...another supreme court appointment.
Haven't they expended all of their ammunition by now???

That is interesting. I heard from my daughter something similar in Utah near the Mojave desert. People were trying to camp there and would go for supplies to the small nearby towns just cleaning them out. They had to do something similar.
I know there is nothing I can do about the weather, but I grew my vegetables from seed back in March and have watered them all summer and I am just very disappointed. A lot of time invested for little return.
The family went for a hike on Father's day to a nearby trail. Two weeks later it burnt down. It was tinder dry when we went there.
The virus has made everything so difficult and everyone is afraid of everyone else.
One of my daughter's finally found her dream job to have it just taken away.
My son has had to do his university semester again on-line and we are paying full tuition.
He was one of the lucky ones and landed an internship but it had to be done remotely.
I appreciate your good thoughts and I also pass on good thoughts to you and others who are also struggling through all of this.
Ift feels surreal but I will not let any of this drag me or the family down. Someone here had a calendar of odd events for each month of 2020. Hope it can be posted again so we can see where we are.

Where my sister lives, most people carry and the relationship with the local LE agencies is very strong.

Where she lives no one takes any crap. The citizenry support and are very protective of LE and LE are like Rottweilers when it comes to the citizenry.

Right, Colorado has been experiencing some very strange weather. Akin to the weather wars in China which they've had severe rainfall, typhoons, drought in one region, locust storm, and snow.

One of my distant friends who lives Off-grid (not completely but they're the strong centered self-sustaining type) sends me a letter about once a month on how they're doing and since March always closes by saying, "I tried to warn ya long ago what is coming...the door is closing but it's not too late to join us." I use to laugh and ridicule them as a Doomsday cult but, not so much anymore. In a sense they do have true freedom and rely on nobody while they're still healthy.

How many in the west were removed from their "off the gridish" life over these fires etc?

I remember looking at a study that said of all 50 states that said, MI was the place with lost possibility of surprise catastrophic events. But now they have Whitmarxist. Who is building a WALL.

Justice John Roberts may have been compromised; at least, there will be serious doubts in the minds of millions of Americans about his future judgments, especially if he is the one to determine the outcome of the 2020 election, who are aware of his suspicious travels to Epstein Island on the infamous Lolita Express.

Not good optics. Does not bode well for Trump's re-election, IMHO.
