UFO’s near places of education

Despite my growing skepticism I have been interested in the UFO phenomenon since I was a child. A big reason for it was my Dad telling me about his own sighting in the mid to late 1970’s:

My dad and his workmate were walking to work at 7:30 on a clear morning and spotted a metallic silvery object hovering above Birmingham University here in the UK. They watched it for a minute before it shot straight up into the sky so fast it vanished within “the blink of an eye”. To the best of his knowledge there were no other reports of the sighting. I wish I’d have seen it!!

I was thinking about Dad’s sighting again after the Pentagon announced the UAP task force and pondered on why a UFO, or more specifically it’s occupants, might be interested in a university or what they might be doing there? This led me down a rabbit hole of UFO incidences at other educational facilities (mainly schools):

.....just to reference a few - there’s even a book compiling over 100 school UFO encounters.

So whether Alien or something else, is it simply a recce into human learning techniques; are ‘they’ eavesdropping to learn our ABC’s; or is it something more sinister involving our young people?

Also not sure if there’s a relationship but I got the (unquantified) impression school sightings reduce as internet became more widespread and saturated with information - maybe these tourists are tapping into the web for learning more about us instead of observation (or even abduction)?

Interested to know the thoughts of 2020 ATS and maybe discover some stories I’m not familiar with?

Several friends told me, independently, that one day in the mid 1970's a large saucer shaped something hovered over their elementary school in mid-town Tucson AZ, blocking out sunlight and drawing several classrooms to the window... and the memory stopped there for all of them.

Dunno... our 5th dimensional farmer overlords checking their latest crop? The breakaway civ checking out prospective recruits? Aliens being creepy? A couple hundred kids and teachers all hallucinating that one time at the same time?

But yeah, schools got a lot of attention from these things in the mid to late 20th century... whatever they actually are.

my 400 foot cigar over Dallas in 1999...was fun....I wasn't looking for a ufo.....I was spotting all the 757's and MD95's with their sun reflection off the nose.....then bahm...this one going the wrong way ...had no sun off of it......and going in and out of cloak for 12 seconds...it turned to cross mid field at Love Field.....gone.....4000AGL....OH, had no dang flight deck windscreen.....

Although sworn to never tell, some fellow 3rd graders were playing at school on the weekend when, as they told me (me, an outsider, year after the event, even had the “confessor priest” mojo back then!), that a “castle” came down and the “drawbridge” opened, and out flew some “angels” but they were “not right”. As they told the ‘angels’ that they couldn’t go into the castle and ran home, they were told to never talk about what happened to anyone.

Til this day, I am the only person they ever told!

I would say that aliens are interested in kids because they actually do keep quiet when told!

Unlike us hippies on LDS trying to tell everyone that they should “free [your] mind” and what not!

I believe in the interest in elementary schools, at the least, and it is not to far of an extension to all institutional learning facilities!

similiar thing for me in the second grade....Casper Wyoming 1961 we all got an hour for lunch and walked home....crossing that ditch....lunch supposed to be getting lunch...a portal I think....down in the ditch....quartz everywhere. in that area....backyards.....

30 years later my buddy told me, out of the blue, about some “flying clowns” that came to his second story window and asked him to “come outside. We want play”. He said that he should be in bed and declined.

I was the first person that he ever told that to. And it was not even the topic of conversation! I shared my detailed account of going behind my neighbors house and walking towards a light source. Next thing I know I hear a voice telling me “you are tired and want to go to bed” as I am latching the backyard gate. I get to the back door and there is my mom yelling at me and asking where I have been for the last couple of hours. I said, “Taking out the trash. I’m tired. I’m going to bed”

Two hours gone. I have no clue to this day (40+ years later). I did get another personal visit around puberty which is why I think that they are tracking us... they have a longer life!
