I actually regret being so mean about Trump

Because I just watched this:



Dear God. This was like watching a toddler get beaten. Trump didn’t answer one, single question. He spent the entire interview dodging every question. When you go to listen to an interview, any interview (let alone the leader of the free world) you kind of expect the person to give some answers. To explain things there might be questions about.

None of that here.

It’s never been this completely obvious to me that Donald Trump has no idea about anything. Anything that’s going on, any events that are happening, or the people that are involved in them. We may actually be looking at the most obvious puppet of nefarious forces this country has ever seen. And that’s a scary thought. Maybe there is a deep state. How else to explain how this country has been running on autopilot for the past 4 years? The cracks are definitely showing more than ever, and this is probably the reason why. We have a leader who’s financiers and backers want to weaken the government so they themselves can consolidate more money and control. That isn’t debatable. His entire administration was founded on and is still awash in Peter Thiel and Koch brothers money. What’s getting to me now, is that I finally see exactly what he is. A stooge. A useful idiot. Emphasis on the idiot part.

And the thing is, if all it took was money to get him shilling for them imagine how easily other powerful people have used him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s been kept around and courted by rich people and other nations for this exact reason. It’s like a worldwide joke that he’s never been let in on. And this is who we have “leading” the nation. I put leading in parentheses because he obviously isn’t doing that.

It’s a scary thought. And I genuinely feel bad for being mean about him in things I’ve written. It’s obvious he’s oblivious. He’s sitting in a car flicking the headlights and listening to the radio thinking he’s going somewhere. He has no information about anything that’s going on, at all. And going from this interview no desire to learn about it. Everything revolves around him. If anything about him or his actions is criticized, he instantly lies. Here we have the same guy who changed a weather forecast map with a sharpie to prove himself right, nervously shuffling some home-printed charts with no sources trying to convince everyone it’s evidence that he hasn’t handled the COVID pandemic like a total moron.

Donald Trump is the most obvious puppet in the history of this country. And that’s saying something. Obama had that honor before, but Trump has now blown him out of the water by a long shot. These aren’t good times. I truly wish all of you who have been taken in by this charlatan and his online propaganda network the best. I was fooled too. I thought of him as a calculated, obliviously evil person. But the reality is that he’s just a celebrity child being used like a celebrity child. Put on stage and taken advantage of. And I genuinely feel for him.

The real question is, who is it that’s using him?

ALL politicians:people who get voted into office? ALL of them avoid answering questions. How have you not noticed this? Watch any presidential debate, any campaign rally, any news conference with a politician or candidate being asked questions. NONE of them, including your precious Democrats, ever answer a question directly. They talk around it. All of them.

I thought that some of his replies, though poorly reasoned and clearly unsubstantiated (who are these 'lots of people' who keep informing him?), show he has some idea that he, as President of the United States, must bear some responsibility.

It is fairly standard, however, for politicians to respond to a question with something unrelated to the question. It is the standard deflection.

I think that the interviewer clearly understood that Trump sees every question in terms of either an attack on himself, personally, or a chance to try and self-promote.

Excellent post, S&F! I was barely able to get 10 minutes of this mess. I actually started feeling nauseous. I just feel like my country has completely lost its mind and way. This is beyond disgusting.

Trump haters are some of the most bizarre people. Almost every time I read or hear a diatribe like this against Trump I always think to myself "I have to share the road ways and interact with people like this....people like this are often in positions of responsibility.....dear god!".

The completely bizarro and often totally wild eyed distorted initial framing of a scenario....the unhinged and obviously illogical and unreasonable information parsing and interpretation....and of course the bungled misshaped conclusions that bear almost no resemblance to reality.....its enough to really see so many other humans as practically alien in terms of how differently they see the world....how differently they interpret information...often quite bizarrely and without any rigorous approach to it.....and of course the cherry on top is almost always the conclusions that always bend in one direction and more often than not using references and comparisons to the very worst murderers in history as if Trump is basically the devil.....and you know...the constant comparisons to hitler might as well be calling trump the devil....thats all youre doing...over and over and over again.....or in this case above calling trump a toddler......can you pick one please and stick with it? Is Trump a toddler or a mass murdering fascist dictator or a toddler fascist dictator not even genius but complete moron who cant read etc etc etc...

so tiring....i cant believe there are people who think this way that actually have to carry adult responsibilities.....i imagine if i saw the world through your eyes for a minute it would look like a horror house bent mirror that deforms everything into a cartoon version of reality. Thats how it sounds when you describe what you see.....it sure is hell not what i see....

All of our presidents are puppets. I thought everyone understood that. Someone is always pulling the strings. Trump actually says his mind more than some others do, but remember, He has to follow the leader like everyone else in that job does. He has to follow the republican way because he is a Republican.

Somehow I feel that Pelosi actually believes she is in charge, she is also a puppet putting on an act as are many of the congressmen and women. Pelosi is actually a very bad actor, maybe she should have taken training to do a better job at it.

I can't stand all the negativity in political advertising this time. It really sucks to listen to both sides slam the other side but avoid the issues. Trump did not start this, there were some people who would not accept a trump win even though he won a vast majority of the states.

When I heard that trump can repeat back "person, woman, man, camera, TV" after 20 min. I was very impressed!!!

Very few people can do that!!!

In fact I felt the need to put it as my signature so I won't forget.

It just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans. Now, it shouldn't be that way. But if you go back, I mean it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats....But certainly we had some very good economies under Democrats, as well as Republicans. But we've had some pretty bad disasters under the Republicans.

It probably didn't help Trump's case among conservative voters that he's spoken very highly of some of Democrats who are typically vilified by conservatives, including former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Oprah Winfrey, and even House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Of course, there was plenty of speculation during the race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination that Trump was trying to sabotage the GOP candidates by saying outrageous things and making a mockery of the process in a bid to help Hillary Clinton win the election.
