Replacement Monitor Decision

One of the kids had a mishap with an Oculus controller which resulted in my main 4K ASUS MG28UQ monitor screen being destroyed.

Anyhoo I'm looking for a replacement and just wondering if anyone has an opinion as to where i can purchase a decent display, preferably from the UK.

Looking for a decent 1440p/144hz Gaming Monitor this time around as the 4K 60hz ASUS did not really hit the sweet spot for me.

Considering the LG 32GK65B-B 32 or the LG UltraGear 32GK650F but just wondering if anyone else has any suggestions?

I'm a fan of VA panels though, and curved screens. I've been using a samsung 27" curved VA monitor since 2017 and I'm not disappointed.

PS. did you discipline the child?

I've got a 55" 4K LG TV as my second display.

Don't have any problems with it nether.

Decided to go with the LG 32GK850F-B as my choice for a 1440p/144hz display.

Bastard cost me £494! all in.

Some price, but just about everything else i would consider is out of stock!

Fecking Coooooooooooooooooovid 19.

Love to see what the Vizio can do, they are rather hard to get over here, or they were when i considered one, specs are pretty good are they not?

No, i don't mind mate.

A Ryzen 5 3600X, RTX 2070 Super, 32Gb 3200Mhz DDR4.

TV route is the best bet if you can deal with 60hz (60fps). I am a pretty heavy gamer and topping at 60 feels perfectly fine (and no headaches or anything). When you go that route, you can get a like 60 inch 4k for a song, along with having the luxury of a backup media room (put a couch in back and watch movies)

I got a philips 4k 55 inch tv the other day for 400 usd and it looks and works fine (my previous tv died after many years of service...never had good resolution though, first of the affordable 4k tvs, off brand, etc...sucked)

I usually go for Packard Bell or Dell Monitors as they've never disappointed me in the past and few months ago purhased a new Dell Monitor which does the job, together with an ACEPC.

I have a 50" Vizio TV that I absolutely love, though I don't enjoy it as much as a monitor as I do as a TV. I found that using it up close, as a monitor, was not comfortable. Too much screen for an up close experience.

As far as monitors go? Best advice I can give is pay attention to response times in addition to refresh rates. With 144 hz I'd personally make sure it also has a 1 ms response time. Asus monitors are incredible. I've heard great things about Viotek from several people. BenQ as well. Mine are Acer brand and I'm happy with both.

Oh and avoid Sceptre. They have a "no dead pixel guarantee" - but - that guarantee only covers more than 3 dead pixels. I purchased 3 monitors from them a few years back and they all had exactly 3 dead pixels each.

Was an ASUS Monitor that got smashed as well.

Great 4K display, just not very powerful gaming-wise aka 60Hz limit.

I may try and get a replacement screen for it once everything returns to normality, but even then there about £350, and the monitor is only worth £380.

I've decided to go with an LG 32GK850F-B this time around, pretty much just down to whats is available right now, which is not that much, see how it goes if its crap it's going back, but apparently it's rather good for gaming at 1440p/144Hz.
