The Italian word spaghetti means 'thin string'.

It is likely that the Berbers (North African Mediterraneans) first made dried pasta, then introduced it to Europe by invading Sicily. We're still on Meds.

Now take the name Berber. Comes from the word Barbarian, those with unintelligible speech.

So the civilized Mediterraneans(eg. Greek and Romans) have accidentally (through pejorative language) included the Northern white Barbarians in the same category as the Mediterranean creators of pasta.

I was disappointed in the book as it had literally plagiarized the very book that he professed not to believe in. Why speak in Elizabethan English? I was grateful I was able to burn the book when I finished it.

Which book did you read? I've downloaded the Loose Canon, but only read a little bit of it.
It doesn't seem all that interesting actually.

As far as Elizabethan English goes, the Book of Mormon is written in that style, even though it was 'translated' in the 1800s. Maybe Elizabethan English sounds more holy than common profane English.

I have been on a Sabbatical, preparing a book for editing and publication.

"The gospel of the Flying spaghetti Monster" was just a comical book written to mock only the King James Bible. The guy who started this whole thing claims to be a Atheist so I found it amusing. Creating a comical religion is on the line with Ron Hubbard's book from which was created the religion of Scientology. He too claimed to be an Atheist when it came to an all powerful God to whom we are accountable for our lives.

The book of Mormon is not the inspired scripture as are the preserved 66 books of the KJV Bible.

Profane is right, I once read through the Living Bible and when I got to Song of Solomon it was written as soft Porn.

That would be official state endorsement of one religion's worldview as 'scientifically' proven. All other religions would then be 'scientifically' false.

That's just not right!

That's what Pastafarianism is about, their reason for being a distinct cult; to challenge the endorsement of one worldview over all others.

I eat a dish that I call Greek Spaghetti.
It's one layer of cooked noodles,
then layer of grated parmesan cheese,
more noodles
topped off with a whole bunch of grated parmesan cheese.

Meanwhile, in the sauce pan, the stick of butter has melted and is reaching a nice brown color.
Pour the butter over the parmesan and noodles.
The heat of the butter melts the cheese.

Real Greek Spaghetti is way different from what I call Greek Spaghetti.
