Melton-Meaux reported having $2 million in cash on hand with 3 weeks to go. The primary for the 5th Congressional district is August 11th. Omar reported having $1.1 million dollars in cash on hand.

More importantly, Melton-Meaux raised $323,310 from within the State of Minnesota while Omar raised just $11, 849. That is staggering. Of that total Melton-Meaux raised $236,921 from the 5th district.

Meanwhile, Ilhan Omar raised just $8000 for the entire quarter from her own congressional district. He raised thirty times the amount of money than she did in both her home district and state.

Does anybody think that this is the way elections should be run? The more money, the better the chances?

I do not like Omar at all, and maybe this person is all around a better choice, but why the hell should money even be a motive here to predict?

Is this how politics is in the US?

I don't think anybody but the Cabal thinks money is the way to win. If we could stop them from outspending each other and use that same money instead to build infrastructure, life would be good. However, it is a good indication that someone is going to win when the locals pony up for a one candidate verses the George Soros candidate. Or any other found on that long list of Billionaires trying to muck up the world to get rid of all the "useless eaters".

I really do hope this is a forecast of the election results come Aug. 11. I have had my fill of America hating so called elected officials who represent no one but themselves once in office.

Ilhan Omar facing stunning defeat in Democrat primary August 11

MINNEAPOLIS, MN: Rep Ilhan Omar is on the verge of an earth-shattering defeat in the Democrat Congressional primary August 11. Political newcomer Antone Melton-Meaux (Antone For Congress) is the freshman congresswoman’s opponent. Meltone-Meaux raised more than $3 million dollars in the last quarter compared to $471,000 for Ilhan Omar. His record-breaking haul compared to meager fundraising by Omar comes amidst a storm of controversy over her explosive personal affairs and extreme leftwing anti-American radical sentiments.
Melton-Meaux fundraising smashes Omar in her own district.

You know a Libertarian is a fake Libertarian when they get pissed off when you bring up that Libertarianism stems from Anarchism.

So, I believe you.

People want to identify as something, but not do the research find out what they are wanting to represent. They want it to be whatever they want it to be, but that's not how it works. They end up perverting it, and it becomes something else.

Like people who say capitalism is evil, not realizing that they're are different forms of capitalism. Capitalism can't be evil. Communism can't be evil. Socialism can't be evil. What is evil are the people who intentionally cause suffering onto others regardless of what system they are taking advantage of.

So essentially people who think that getting rid of capitalism will solve all the evils in the world are ignorant. There will still be people taking advantage of other. The people pushing for socialism and communism are going to be the first ones on the chopping block. They aren't going to get any favors for protesting and rioting.

The benefactors will be the very same rich people at the top. The only thing that will change is how they get their money.
And how little less we will end up with.

New husband? How many brothers does she have?

But to get back on topic, I don't think this was the first time she had been caught funneling money out of her campaign. I'm just shocked that nothing came of it before either.

I always said I am to the left of Anarchy.

Limited Gov with fiscal responsibility to spend the taxpayers money in a reasonable business manner.

Gov protects the borders from invasions of People and Plant/wildlife that doesn't belong here. Gov should protect the Air and Water above all other resources to provide a clean living environment for man and wildlife.

This will require a balanced citizens panel made up of elected officials and citizens that keeps those things in focus. A panel of that nature would help prevent Gov over reach , but allow for a fair way to review rules governing waterways and air quality. That way a dry creek bed is not stupidly designated 'navigable waters' when it is a wet weather creek only. What a mess they make when the Gov is the arresting officer, jury and judge on these environmental cases I have seen reported.

Fundraising and where that money comes from does seem like good indicators of support, it’s clear there’s quite the strong push to challenge the type of leadership the freshmen congresswomen brings.

An innefective female terrorist or a washington lawyer who wrote the book on transgenger surgery for St Judes "childrens" hospital and goes to a "progressive" lutheran church and is a swamp democrat and proud race pimp.

Maybe we just get rid of that "special district" all together.

We had 1 US Rep who dared to openly criticize Israel and AIPAC.

We all know thats forbidden.

And now she will pay the price for it.

Its far worse than that.

She's a no good do nothing who can't be bothered to serve her constituents. Instead, she focused on fruitlessly attacking Trump and making goofy annuciations 24/7.

Additionally, the head gear is another part of the culture war since every photo of her outside of "official time" she doesn't wear it. I actually expected to see a padded helmet on her, but was surprised to just find long hair.

Astonishing that a "liberal" like Omar would wear a symbol of repression isn't it?

Amen to that

Yet its sad someone like me can't find a thread in common with the new democrat party, and will handily cast a vote for 45 in Nov.

Yup, and when she's not attacking Trump or white people she's been taking turns screwing her brother, her campaign manager, and that one dude stuck in the middle.

She's the very definition of altruism.

i did read the article and the parts about the funding. theres just been case after case of ex democrats who were shut down by their own party after not following the direction of the party. those individuals stated they were told that the democrats would do everything in their power next election to put someone up against them and put all their resources into making sure the opponent would win. i just find it funny when democrats think they will get change by voting in another democrat and vice versa.

Well shoot! Maybe there's hope for the Democrats yet. Most likely,.. She was probably a little much, to soon. Dems aren't ready to go full "commie jihad" just yet. There's a little more to the "constitution" they gotta "amend". You know? That "law" that doesn't work for them.

Honestly? I don't understand how that thing got "elected" in the first place.

Well this thread aged poorly. Omar just won her primary with almost 60% of the vote. And with that Ocasio-Cortez, Tlaib, and Omar have now all won their primaries by a large margin. Pretty much guaranteeing a second term for all of them.

I heard after Kamala successfully and unsurprisingly invokes the Twenty Fifth Amendment on January 21st, 2021 she will pick Talib to be her Vice President.
