to bad Minnesota doesn't have the death penalty.

Great news!!!

The Dorn murder (and the video) broke my heart.

Justice For Dorn should have been a rally point this month.

Events like this are where divisiveness and just plain hate should run into a brick wall .

I’m sure there are many people in the black lives matters movement . Whose hearts go out to officer Dorn's family over this senseless murder .

But they can’t even mourn him because the narrative of hate has forbidden any signs of compassion for the police. Not to mention that fear of the liberal mob keeps them from speaking out .

Not all of them though I read the comments on a CNN tweet about officer Dorn .

I tip my hat to the few that spoke out .

yes there are good people in every group, and as you said many don't say a word because of the retaliation that surely would unleashed on them if they dare spoke up.

but there are some who will speak out against it. but not as many as should.

I bet something that ABCCBSNBC etc will not report this. And if so, why aren't people letting them know?

Seriously, it's fine to complain here or wherever, but if you do not let these shiboleths understand then what is the point?

Same here. Very thankful to see retired officer David Dorn's (alleged) killer arrested!

Again, it was a VIDEO and public outrage that enabled shooter Stephan Cannon's arrest.

Unfortunately, there will be no general outrage from community or national Black leaders, because Black-on-Black murder is generally accepted. And that's too bad.

We should be taking a knee for this man as well. And you can't use criminal background or drug addiction to dismiss his sacrifice this time.

This is very true. The good humans and sensible voices in any situation are often drowned out by the hateful scumbags. We started with the most universal agreement of wrongdoing by a police officer in the murder of George Floyd - no "sides", just good people in agreement about terrible wrongs, to the bad folks turning it into a two sides facing off (poop)show.

I used to use Twitter mostly just for sports (MLB, NFL), but had started getting into other topics (pandemic, George Floyd.)

What I've found is loud-mouth blithering idiots on the stupid spectrum, parroting their assigned left-right garbage, and this larger majority who don't speak up and out as often or as loudly - not "in the middle", but on sensible ground. I've found people confused, asking things like, "are you a liberal or conservative? First you say this, but then you say that..."

My answer to those - yes, I meant what I wrote. I'm not on anyone's script. It's ok to think Dr. Tedros and the CCP are lying scumbags who harmed the world and world economy, but also think Trump could do better than screaming 2-word tweets.

call out idiocy, and speak your mind. pushing ourselves to the two dumb-dumb camps of any discussion is foolish.

Good post !

I’m looking at this in agreement with you while approaching it from a different angle . On one site I go to there’s a poster that should be at storm front . His racism peeks out in most of his post. But he doesn’t go far enough to where he should be banned .

Yet even he was appalled by that video . ( I actually checked user IDs to make sure it wasn’t a sock ) For someone who looks at racial issues in a black and white manor . ( in no way a pun )!

He didn’t meet everyone halfway on this topic .

He stepped over that line and shook everyone’s hands .

The way I look at it that was a powerful moment. Everybody should have some give in their positions. If you’re not if not you are not championing a cause. You’re carrying a torch.

We don’t see it now and we probably won’t see it for a long time.

Compromise is America’s silver bullet .

But it does it happen because just when people take a deeper look at each other.

CNN comes along and pisses in the punch bowl .

Washington DC and the media fear the chance that black, white, capitalist and socialist might be able to find common ground for discussion . Instead they will all fan the flames and feed the hatred .

Fair discussion will not be tolerated instead we all must hate our opponents and obey our masters .

I was watching all kinds of social media feeds during all this, and found the guys FB live, and watched this man die live on Facebook. It really effected me. I watched him gasp his last breath as that young man filmed. Sad that his last view was a young dude filming him. At least he told Mr. Dorn he died doing the right thing.

Joe Biden and his team (supporters) encouraged riots that killed more Blacks in 2 weeks than police did during the past several months.
