Do you have one of these in your daily life?

Not me?

Don't know?

They did it?

How many people live in your house, work in your office or serve you food?

How many times have you heard someone else screwed the pooch?

That is a phrase often used to describe a mess that created another mess, or so it seems, heard it somewhere and what the heck let's use it here.

I live in a house with one person, albeit a very important person, my spouse, whom I love dearly and pay for it yearly, of which they do the same for moi. If you ask me a question about something you will get a very direct answer, quickly, witty even, possibly sarcastic, as in captain obvious but generally speaking tongue in cheek or not, the truth will escape somehow, my truth at least, from my perspective.

There are however certain situations where a question is rhetorical and still elicits a response from the gallery, in this case my spouse, "Honey, where did you put so and so, or such and such?", I might say out loud as a search continues for whatever has been misplaced, and then from the other room,"Don't know". Or where the heck did you put this, it was "Not Me"...insert any phrase you care, it is the same. 2 people living in the house and one knows they did not touch something and that the other did, and the other says it was Not Me.

You do the math, obviously, either I have lost my complete freaking mind, or someone is flat out lying because the consequences of admitting the truth would result in a walk of shame, never to be lived down. Still, They did it will not work with 2 people, Don't Know or Not Me are definite culprits in my household.

There are things that are silly and things that have more relevance, perhaps may even be considered important, like a bill needs to be paid, or groceries need shopping for, or a trip to the drug store may be in order, then the stakes are considerably higher and yet, those suckers Don't Know and Not Me manage to show up and ruin it all, Damn Them!

Just once I would like to hear these words uttered efficiently and abruptly, I Did IT.

Sometimes i get the response of "Not me" or "I don't know" but it translates to "I just don't remember".
We're not that old but we're not spring chickens anymore either and sometimes we forget stuff- yeah, both of us. When we have those "Sometimer's" moments (because we do realize that there are only two of us here so one of us did it) we joke and laugh about it, sometimes we even blame the dog.

No point in getting riled up about it. We are only human after all!

I'm pretty sure the cat is blaming them.
They always have that look like they're judging!

I don't say any of those things.

I just start up the lawn mower, or the tractor...or the circular saw, and say...

I...can't...hear...you!!

You just described a teenager..

If you are talking about an adult then they need to grow up.

You've made a powerful enemy today my friend

I don't recommend adopting cats, my neighbor sadly took her own life and i took them in, and I think I know why, because they shared the same brain cell.

Never rely on people, only yourself-you could ask your partner to go to store and pick up some bread and comes home with a chainsaw.

Being single has it's pro's and con's.

I suspect this has no age boundaries...The older the more senile, the younger ADD! LOL!

The wife tosses out things if we do not use them for six months. The reason we have those things is because you need it when you need it, often you need it once a year or two, but we always do need it. After hours of me looking and asking if she knows where it is....She says she threw it out because we do not use it....so I have to go out and buy another one and a couple of spares, since she threw out ten years supply of them. Also, she complains we need to put in roll out shelves in the cabinets, but they are so full of dishes we rarely ever use, why not just put the rarely used dishes in the basement with other things we rarely use that are on the shelving units specially designated for dishes and cooking utinsils. It is easier to walk down eight steps and grab it off of the shelving unit on side of the steps than to start digging it out of the back of the cabinet... It took me years to get her to let me bring some things down in the pantry area designated for dishes and cooking stuff. Either way you need to wash it, sometimes there are little bugs in the cabinets, beetles with a white stripe going sideway on their backs.

I like rant threads.....I feel rejuvinated now.

Glad you feel better, I am exhausted, ummm,

Rant thread is over there ---------->

No kidding though that is classic wife/husband stuff, Mars/Venus all the way, so they say. My wife saves stuff that just collects dust, but throws away things I need, or will need ....someday! Or should I say Not Me?

Just this morning one of mine stomped through the living room muttering "It's only 8 in the morning and I already wish I was dead."

Apparently, the cat food isn't up to snuff today.

As far as things going missing, if it's food, I ate it. If it's an object, she "put it away." If it's money, it magically vanished. Although I suspect the cats, they go to dollar general all the time.

This how I feel sometimes as I clean and cook and ETC ETC. People forget someone else does these things when not noticed.

Edit: thanks, I've never seen this show. You gave me something funny to binge watch
