Conscious Realism, a scientific theory, says that the fundamental state isn't this reality but consciousness is.

I just finished the book "The case against Reality" [Daniel D. Hoffman] and suddenly my whole perception of life, the universe and everything changed.
I like your attitude and I wish all the best to those that help you and for you too [even though you didn't ask for it- tough, I wish it anyway].

It seems that bodies/universes and everything is perceptually created, but consciousness is the real reality that everything is based on.
Best of all, many quantum physicist agree for very evident, specific reasons that can be tested by scientific method. It may be interesting for you [and anyone else] to have a look at.
There seems to be a very good chance that your consciousness will still be hanging around when everything else goes to pieces, probably creating a new reality on the way. I think that this is a very appealing theory to take astride if you so wish.
