Good Post. Happy Mothers day to the moms of ATS

I would love to be able to take the wife out to eat for mothers day, we have done that every year for a very long time, probably thirty four years. I am not going to go get takeout though, so today we are going to have leftover homemade meatballs and gravy on potatoes. She is kind of bummed but with everything closed up she said hell with takeout, our homemade meals are a lot better than what most restaurants have.

I am going to miss the buffets at the Chinese places, good thing we went to the Chinese place in December and also in January. I do not foresee those places opening again for about a year or so, no more buffets in the future. I like those places because most meals contain foods I am intolerant to.

Already been by mom's to drop her off some new stuff to add to her garden.
Then we did the same for the wifes mom.

Now, I'm doing a lasagna for dinner. Frying up some bacon to make into bits that will be added to the ground beef.
4 cheeses and a loaf of cheese breed and a fresh creaser salad.

I just saw her. I let her move in with me when I got a house. She was sleeping on her friend's couch.

I wish I could...

I called my Mom earlier. We were on the phone almost two hours. It was a wonderful conversation. I also texted my sister Tracy, who has four grown children and wished her a Happy Mother’s Day. I messaged my hubby’s daughter and wished her a Happy Mother’s Day. So I think I have my bases covered, LOL!

My hubby always took me out somewhere nice on past Mother’s Days, even though I don’t have any children. I treasure those memories. He is permanently in a nursing home now. But talking to the other mothers in my life gave me a lot of happiness today.

Ok, I'll share.

My mom has Alzheimer's and is in a long term residence.

I called her three times today to tell her and remind her how much I love her.

The fact that me and her grandkids can't even go SEE her on Mother's Day breaks my heart.

This new norm is an absolute joke.
