Hello guys,

I wanted to share this here because I'm sure many of you would are interested in Alpha Centauri and the possibility of existing alien life there, especially around Alpha Centauri A: youtu.be...

Do you think there might be life in some exoplanet orbiting Alpha Centauri A/B?

If so, what type of life? maybe intelligent but less advanced than humanity and therefore not able to communicate with us?

I'm sure the Greys have been there and probed it already.

I wonder what alpha centauri would look like from a planet the same distance as earth is from the sun. I can't find any renderings.

It's supposedly where they hail from, I remember reading about it in one of the books my Dad wrote.

If we're talking about the "EBE" Greys from Roswell lore, my understanding is that they are purportedly from Zeta Reticulli.

Just for some perspective, the furthest manmade object from Earth is Voyager 1 after nearly 43 years in space, and it will be another 30,000 years before it leaves even our Solar System.

Voyager has traveled 149 Astronomical Units (AU), or 13.8 billion miles, from Earth. That' a long ways! However...

1 "light year' = 63,241 AU, or 5.8 trillion (with a 'T') miles. So, Voyager has traveled only 0.24% of one light year.

Alpha Centauri, the nearest star system to ours, is 4.37 light years from Earth.

If Voyager 1 was headed toward Alpha Centauri (which it isn't), it would take another 71,623 years to reach it. Years.

ETA - S&F to the OP for a fun discussion.

I'm forever getting my binary star systems mixed up

that's true

i hope the starshot project team succeeds and they are able to send nanocrafts to the star system by 2036

those nanocrafts would reach alpha centauri in 2056

alph cen is a g-type star too, so the size would be similar, but there would be 2 sunsets
