Bill Wither's family announced today that the three-time Grammy Award winner passed away on March 30 from heart complications. He was 81. His classic
songs, "Lean On Me" and "Ain't No Sunshine" were in constant rotation on AM radio back in the early 70's.
In late 1977, Withers released the song "Lovely Day," which peaked at #30 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US in 1978.
In 1980, the song "Just the Two of Us," which was co-written by Bill Withers, appeared on Grover Washington Jr.'s Winelight LP and featured
Withers on vocals. It reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1981 and won the Grammy Award for Best R&B Song.

Oh man, Bill was amazing. He truly had a gift. Thank you for sharing that gift with the world, Bill. You'll be missed. This is probably my favorite
song Bill sang.
