Anyone get a chance to play this yet? If so... when you read the news and hear about everything shutting down - planes - ships - transportation etc... Doesn't it bring up a mental image of this very same game?

So this game has been out for quite some time. I've had it for some time as well even before it hit Steam. It used to be a browser game. Some say it predicted whats happening now and where the virus came from. One of the popups in the game reflects Wuhan as a player in this pandemic. China has even banned the game when this virus started... at the beginning.

Anyone else see play Plague Inc and see it in the back of your head when you read the news?

It really is a fun game and it makes you out to be the evil mastermind behind the virus while in a race against humanity from curing the virus before you kill off everyone in the world.

Does this make me a bad person? Though... I can't help having this uneasy feeling while playing it.

I've had it for a while, and no, I don't get visions of COVID when I play it.

I've had it installed for a few years.

I played it a couple of weeks ago and simulated the reported symptoms of Cov19.

Worldwide death toll was 1.2 million.

If your game was accurate, then we're looking at a global death toll of 0.015% ...

That's even less than the lowball estimates of .7% being talked about now. And that would make it far less deadly than the seasonal flu.

estimates of .7%

Well if they keep fudging the numbers then it will be.

I remember it as a flash game well over a decade ago.
I'd love the current version, but I'm not paying fifteen bucks for a game that used to be free.

That just means he lost the game...

The goal is to kill everyone.

I own the game, so I know that. He said he played it with the reported symptoms of the current plague. It won't kill us all.
