"NHSX is looking at whether app-based solutions might be helpful in tracking and managing coronavirus"
"But the academics say no-one should be forced to enrol - at least initially."
"It proposes that an app would record people's GPS location data as they move about their daily lives. This would be supplemented by users scanning QR (quick response) codes posted to public amenities in places where a GPS signal is inadequate, as well as Bluetooth signals."
Bil"not allowed to participate in society unless you allow yourself to be tracked"

its a phone app that tracks you in the UK.
um so you dont go out if they say you have the flu.

Ah so everyone without a smartphone or willing to be a walking bug is now a Feind of the system and people in general.

This is what we get from all this PC and such. We were subconsciously trained to either swallow or get used to it.

As with the user , so with the app provider

As with the patient , so with the medic

ITS a lot to ask of the NHS , not to use the technology

ITS a proper emergency , not a time for idiotic idealism . Roll it out .

How easily we succumb to draconian measures and the curtailment of freedoms as a result of fear and panic coupled with threats and yet we criticise China for acting in the same manner

What they are proposing it seems,is to eventually make laws such as always having your phone on your person, always having it turned on,havng a certain app installed.

To a suspicious minded person, this may sound ever so slighty like a totalitarian power grab the likes of which would have made Hitler or Stalin drool uncontrolably.

What if you don't have a phone-or don't wish to be tracked via a government app?
Will you be fined/arrested/imprisoned under the guise of putting public health at risk?

This whole idea looks like a turbo charged slide down a very slippery slope if you ask me.

We are barely a week into lockdown in the UK,and so far we have cops chasing dog walkers with drones, the government slipping a law through in the corona virus emergency bill which allows for indefinite DNA and fingerprint retention of certain people, and now academics proposing we are all GPS tracked by the government.

Where will we be in 6 months I wonder?
Getting paid to snitch on people we see coughing in public maybe?
All locked up in camps having our organs forcibly harvested maybe?

That may sound over the top,but slippery slopes are just that IMO.
