Malaysia is one of the most populated regions in the world and seemingly NEXT on the terrorists' hit parade. One MAJOR concern is that nearly 1/3 of ALL the world's commerce shipping goes through the straits of Malacca!

Talk about a wonderland for destroying the Infidels' commerce and shipping!

There hasn't been much in the "mainstream media" about this hotbed, but never fear my beloved wife has been on top of it for months... A classic example is right here, (notice the date) www.abovetopsecret.com...

Val has also been recently documenting an increasing threat in Pac-Asia.

It all started with an article she wrote on what's going on in the Philippines:

The Storm Brewing in the Philippines

But then things got a bit more serious when she got a tip from a very reliable source (and trust me, my wife has connections) overnight on the 8th that a terrorist group from the southern part of the Philippines had made their way into Malaysia and were planning some type of large-scale attack in the capital...

Increased Threats of Terrorist Attacks in Malaysia

Since she wrote about what she had been told, one thing after another has happened to reinforce this:

World Snapshot for 03/10/05

U.S. State Department Renews Global Terror Alert

World Snapshot for 03/11/05

If either of these scenarios occurs, this is all-out chaos of a type that may very well eclipse NYC in 2001...

Instability in this region would be a major setback for the world economy. Not only is it a major 'choke point' for shipping -- as you pointed out -- but it is also rich in strategically important resources (which is one of the reasons why Japan tried to hold onto the area until the very end of WW2). It's also home to one of the fastest growing muslim populations in the world. Instability, or radicalization of the populace, would be a major setback for the US, indeed.
