I really wasn't sure if I should post this as I am not a "close the borders" kind of guy. I am a socialist politically, albeit more a democratic
socialist. I am certainly not an authoritarian and believe in civil liberty with strict regulation on business to allow for civil liberty. I say this
so that people realise that I am what you may call "a lefty" and not just a xenophobic "other fearer". For the record, I am an Australian.
In the west, the toilet paper rush seems to have kicked off first in Australia. Let me know if I'm wrong on that. That was mystifying me. How did
this start? There seemed to be a lot of people who looked Chinese in the footage but I didn't think too much of it. In the video below, posted on
YouTube on March 18, is footage that appears to show a coordinated raid by a group of Chinese people, targeting toilet paper and baby formula with
military precision. As tolerant as I am, I must say I am not sure if I could have kept things together if I had been the one filming. Those people in
the video would have been physically assaulted if that had been me, judging by the feeling in the pit of my stomach I got watching this video.
Is this an organised plot to create civil unrest? Are we under psychological attack?
I could quite possibly be wrong, but I heard it was a facebook post stating that putting toilet paper inside your mask lessens the risk of catching
the virus.

The baby formula thing is old and unrelated, I'm on the other side of Oz in what is essentially chinatown and its just easy money.
Give any of these guys $5 to spit on a picture of whoever is in charge of China and they'll do it.
NO , not coordinated.
There's white meth heads doin the same here, they're just not as noticeable and also not as hard working.

If you look at the Youtube comments, this is an old video. i.e. FAKE NEWS!
You are correct. I noticed looking back at the video now that Christmas decorations are up in the background. This was obviously filmed around
Christmas and is depicting the Chinese baby formula buy-up. So yes, I got done by fake news and jumped to conclusions that the spreader of said fake
news (YouTube account) wanted me to jump to. I saw this posted on another website claiming it to be what my title suggests and got hoodwinked. I
didn't think critically enough because I am feeling the pressure of the times. A lot has gone wrong this week for all of us...
That does not change the fact that the toilet paper plague is very very suspect to me
EDIT: I tried to edit my OP to point this out to all but seem to have passed the four hour limit. Mods? I got hooked by fake news help!
lol

Australia isn't in the "west" just because it's mostly white.
Australia is considered part of "Western" civilization. That's why everyone in the world refers to Australia as part of the "West" when speaking in
those terms (as opposed to geographical hemisphere.)
