As a species, I think we're going to come out of this far better than before.
Never has there been a time where the collective world population had their routines completely & unexpectedly change on them at once to focus on a single problem. You're going to see a massive amount of innovation come out of all this. Problems will be discovered, and with the power of the collective population basically working to solve those problems, you're going to get some very creative & innovative solutions.
You saw all the innovation that came out of the countrywide mobilization of WW2. Now imagine a worldwide mobilization effort with the engine of the internet powering the speed of innovation. I predict an explosion of innovation & perhaps prosperity to a level that the world has never seen before.
This whole saga is fascinating to me & while of course I feel terrible about all those negatively impacted, I'm incredibly excited to see what kind of reality lies on the other end of this.
