After winning the primaries in both Florida and Illinois on Tuesday night, the president passed the delegate threshold of 1,276 required to win the nomination.
The president has dominated Republican primaries in 2020, earning more votes in many states than previous presidential incumbents.
The Republican convention begins on Monday, August 24 in Charlotte, North Carolina, which will officially make Trump the 2020 Republican presidential nominee.

Joe Biden swept another round of delegate-rich contests Tuesday – winning in Florida, Illinois and Arizona – further cementing the former vice president as the dominant front-runner in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination over Bernie Sanders as the coronavirus threat scrambles the primary calendar for the foreseeable future.
Together, the contests are likely to only add to the pressure on Sanders to reconsider his presence in the race.

Obviously Trump was going to get the nomination as an incumbent Presdient.
What is more interesting is what happened in Florida.
More Floridians came out and voted for Trump in a race they already knew the result of, than did people who voted for Biden in a contested race. This points to Trump easily beating Biden in Florida come November.
