I think small business may be about to get shut down too.

Seems like this conference was to prepare us for the guidelines that are about to come out.
That and to let us know about testing.

Look at the media? Yeah, sure they were packed together like sardines. But more than that look at the people on stage around Pence. Shoulder to shoulder, no one in gloves and each one taking turns behind the lectern touching it one after another. Do THEY think they are immune?

this isn't about votes or greed or any of that, its about lessening the impact of the recession that's about to come to the world economy because of everyone's panicked behavior, economic activity is in chaos and not functioning properly.

the president doesn't even have authority over the federal reserve so what's up with all this about the votes nonsense?

It did sound like the Executive Admin approves of the house bill and are just waiting for the senate to pass and they can sign their approval. Also, looks like they are setting up a schedule of 2 press conferences a day. Morning in regards to economic guidelines and afternoon for health guideline concerns. They obviously want to slow walk the necessary guidelines to reduce panic in the country's citizens. Emphasis on guideline phasing.

Good to finally hear something that's not all doom and gloom or sarcastic and cynical. Think there will be time to analyze and criticize this situation but maybe just maybe some of us here especially the long-termers ought to realize is that way isn't helping anything at the moment, some people are scared and don't know exactly what to do I've spent the whole day talking to some of my customers and they are worried cause unlike a hurricane or ice storm this is nationwide and the end of this is a way off and uncertain. Even if most of us here saw this coming and are at least semi-prepared others aren't whipping them into a paranoid frenzy isn't gonna help. Not saying lie or anything just if you got your chit together try and help others understand what they need to do and help them from being so paranoid. Who knows you might help one person raising kids through this, make the right decisions. Plenty of doom porn going around

Yes, he has been looking and sounding a bit out of sorts in the last few appearances I have witnessed. I have heard some very stressed sounding hot mic snippets too. In his defence (and I am no fan of the man), it is a very difficult time - I certainly wouldn't want to be in his position right now.
