Sword or dagger or knife, it sure would hurt to have it stuck in your gizzard. Imagine the millions of people over the millennia who were killed by weapons like this. How humans used to just brutally stab and slice and club each other to death all the time. All the young men in armies fighting for the King or Emperor against the heathen infidels.

Not that dying is ever a treat, but getting hacked to death to me seems particularly brutal.

The technology of the sword (dagger) is quite advanced. Far more advanced than the Roman swords.

It’s thin at the tip to easily pierce flesh. Then it gets wider towards the base, to inflict more damage, with further thrust.

Before the handle, it has a very large guard for the hands protection. Then a thick grip for more control.

At the end, you have the pommel. Which is also very large for maintaining grip and also as an extra weapon for crushing bone.

FAR more advanced than the Roman’s. Which begs the question. How many years before 5,000 years ago — did we have this tech?

Amazing find S & F

It looks much like a roman gladiator sword.

Actually, it's the other way around. The Roman sword looks a bit like the Turkish sword, which shouldn't come as a surprise considering the history.
Are you a moron or what? Turks came into Europe from western China about 700 years ago. What is now western Turkey were lands populated by Greek speaking tribes. Lands like Anatolia, Lydia, Bithynia. Eastern Turkey are the lands of Armenians and Kurds.
