Roadkill British Big Cat

THERE are fears the fabled 'Beast of Burford' may be no more after a driver saw a 'puma-sized cat' dead . . .

. . . Thursday at around 4.30pm he was heading southbound on the A34, near Kidlington, when he spotted the creature on the central reservation.

First we have the usual label 'Beast of . . . .' This instantly introduces the idea of one animal at one location, standard scene setting propaganda limiting the allowable understanding of this phenomena. The truth is these cats travel, there are lots of them and this one is no more. Disappeared from the scene by someone. Perhaps witnesses will come forward.

It's not often we hear of roadkill big cats. Today one has been reported.

Picking up a large animal from the central reservation in the afternoon traffic doesn't sound easy or safe.

why wouldnt they take a photo ?

Probably because the people who hit it are the same ones that saw bigfoot and space aliens and didn't take a picture.

Wouldn't be suprised if theres a few big cats running around that people smuggled in as kittens and when they start eating your guard dogs for a snack you just dump em well away.

Disappeared from the scene by someone , yes they wrote it down as cat . You'd need to hear the whole story . The beast of burford is a grizzly story it nearly got whacked several times and then did get a whack but it didn't kill it , quite . That p articular road is dangerous for innocent animals , mice bats cats rabbit that got all the way to 4 months , dogs , people know to keep clear
