It’s been a while since I’ve posted. As a background, I’m a retired USAF pilot and for the past 19 yrs a pilot with a major airline. My
original postings centered around silver sphere UAP. Tonight I saw things that have me stumped.
I was flying east to west (heading 250 degrees) over central Kentucky at 40,000. Venus was clearly visible in a mostly clear night sky, the ground
was covered with low overcast. I saw what looked to be a satellite in orbit passing below Venus and angling Northward in the night sky. I pointed it
out to the other pilot and we discussed what satellite it could be (ISS?). I even wrote down the time, location and relative position so I could use a
website to help ID it. That’s when it got weird, about a minute or so later it was followed by another along the identical path, then another and
another (two rather close to each other) and more. At least 10 for a period of almost 15 minutes (0145Z to 0200Z). There was a gap before I saw the
last at 0221Z.
Neither I nor the other pilot with about 20 yrs of experience have ever seen anything like this. I tried to record it with my cell phone but it
couldn’t focus properly.
Other pilot thinks it’s ultra high altitude military craft. I don’t know, other than I’m submitting a report to NUFORC.
Figured I’d fuel the flames by reporting it here. What do you think it was?
