Like I said, check the ballast resistor and the oil pressure sensor. The oil pressure sensor is connected to the fuel pump to save your motor on a loss of oil pressure; it could be bad or just have a loose connection. Junking a car over a $10 part is sad.

Yes I do

Open her up and check for anything that looks burned or melted. Smell her.

I've fried a few ECUs in my day too... If there is a short and its getting less than 12 volts there is a thing in there close to the plug which "forces it" to 12. It will get hot and burn out if it doesn't have enough power.

I ended up tracing the main power wire and replacing it with a custom one there on a switch which solved it when I had that exact same problem

During that time one of the fusable links was kinda melted. never found the short, but doing that hack made it so my ECUs didn't fry out.
