Thank you for the detailed response. Apologies for taking slight offense. I think it was more from the last assertion that I was perhaps bringing the 5G factor into the discussion for entertainment purposes. I am not.

I find most things speculated upon to be just that, entertainment, but as you called it the “nightmare” tech that none of us will be able to escape from, is just that, a nightmare. Which is perhaps what I was alluding to, as the “why” nobody has taken it into serious consideration yet. It would have far reaching implications that our species probably could not cope with, if it were to be revealed that it somehow is a catalyst for something such as this to take hold and sweep the globe.

To be honest, I don’t want to be right about it. I want someone really smart and articulate to come along and ease my fears about it. Perhaps revealing that will make everyone rest assured that I have no intent of bringing it to the discussion to incite fear or ridiculous conspiracy. Just want to be able to remove the thoughts from my mind, and I assume, only time will tell if I can do that... but thank you again for your detailed response.

I am no scientist.... just a curious woman with an overactive mind. But I was under the assumption that the combination of curiosity and over active imaginations was part of what brought others to this site, rather than say, somewhere else on the net, to discuss things.

Stay safe mate, 😁

and remember, today’s coincidences could be tomorrow’s conclusions... but for everyone’s sake, I hope that I really did make a really stupid mental correlation!

I won’t be taking up anymore room in this thread with it. Thanks to all for your responses! 👍🏽

I take all the numbers with a massive pinch of salt. The only thing I do "know" for sure is that things are worse than we're being told.

Agreed. I mean we are hearing that the Wuhan crematoriums are working 24hrs a day. I wonder what that would translate to in terms of bodies burnt? I imagine a significant number but unless we know their capacity we really couldn’t even make an educated guess - beyond probably several hundred a day.

So I googled it because I was wondering the same thing.. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO CREMATE A BODY: 1 to 3 hours per person seems to be the answer. Im too old to do math so Ill leave it to someone else to figure out.

Early on in this thread, Part 1, someone was asking the same things about 5G - they got shutdown almost immediately. Somebody was shot down for suggesting a "conspiracy theory" on a conspiracy theory website. Go figure.

reply... 3 hrs per body in a 24 hour period = 8 cadavers per day per oven

Doctors fear pregnant women can pass on illness after newborn baby is diagnosed

The newborn was confirmed to have the virus 30 hours after its birth at the Wuhan Children's Hospital in Hubei province.

A mother with the deadly virus gave birth to the child at the Wuhan Children Hospital in Hubei province on 2 February, China's state broadcaster CCTV reported. The newborn was given a test 30 hours later and was confirmed to have coronavirus, doctors said.

The newborn has stable vital signs and no fever or cough but has been experiencing shortness of breath, doctors said.

Chest X-rays showed signs of infection and there were some abnormalities in liver functions.

Sad but let hope for healthy recovery.

in a rare interview from inside Wuhan, Ms Wang has told the BBC about her family's heart-breaking struggle for survival.

‘We’d rather die at home than go to quarantine’

Wow just wow this is the BBC this is the most honest thing I've heard coming from China. This interview gives a very frightening insight into the situation in Wuhan . Her family are mainly ill or getting ill and one is already dead.. she openly admits the families around her are in the same situation with the infected being very many.. are the BBC actually reporting that this is a proper sxxx hitting the fan situation now ?

The Asian male does not necessarily have higher ace2 receptors. This assumption was based only 8 Chinese male donors.

Eight Chinese guys with more ace2 receptors than usual is no reason to suspect that's the case for all Asian males. We know nothing about these donors and it's a vanishingly small study that's not peer reviewed.

It's just speculation and to be frank, it's guilty of creating more upset and panic than is necessary.

Based on accounts like this one, how is it that in the US we are still waiting on results from cases that popped up OVER a week ago?!

I can understand if there is a shortage of test kits in Mainland China, but here in the West with less than a dozen confirmed cases in the US it doesn't make any sense that we're still waiting so long.

Suspected cases in Connecticut originally sprang up January 27 (that's 9 days ago), same with the suspected cases in Virginia.

9 freaking days, really? I'm really suspicious of this...

The Department of Defense has cleared the way for Camp Ashland in Ashland, Nebraska to be used to house as many as 75 people who may need to be quarantined upon arrival from overseas travel due to the coronavirus. The authorization extends through the end of February.

I've been following your threads on this topic, I've been busy, but time enough to read and this is worrisome and may shed some inferences...

Note that clinical laboratories should NOT attempt viral isolation from specimens collected from 2019-nCoV PUIs.

At this time, diagnostic testing for 2019-nCoV can be conducted only at CDC.

CDC

I'll look for the article that also states the CDC is developing kits for the US, which means we do not have any...

I've been watching for market reasons with work.

she also clearly says that when you show signs to far progressed symptoms, no one will take you in.... also says there are no more testkits and the new hospitals are for people already getting treatment in other places.

I heard twitter rumors before about how they only treat the people who are most likely to survive to boost the 'cured' numbers.... seems like those were right

Most of the crematories that I am familiar with (in the US) are single retort type. They are designed to burn one body at a time. If you include time for the retort to cool down, removing and grinding the cremains, you will be spending three hours on each body. They only way you might get one done more quickly would be if it is a child or a small framed and thin person.

Can someone explain the life of the virus
Seems to be
1. get infected - 2 to 14 days have symptoms - fever dry cough
2. after first symptoms show be very sick fever, difficult breathing for x number of days?
3. then either Die or recover.

How long can you fight it?
Can you fight it without oxygen or medical help?

What happens to the "Recovered" are they now immune ?
Can they get it again?

It is known for decades that Asian men tend to have more ACE2 receptors, it was first discovered in studies about heart deceases and the study concluded that this was the reason why Asian males are more prone to have heart issues. After that the same conclusions were made in other studies whenever ACE2 was involved.

I'm sure I read that the virus can be contracted again after the patient is apparently cured. Although, I can't remember if the person would become ill again. The scary part is if the virus can then be spread again by the same person.

Sorry, but I can't remember the source of the information. Maybe a UK newspaper.
