You'd be surprised at how many videos I've seen of some complete moron flying their commercial drone as close as possible to commercial aircraft just so they can get some attention.

Yep, I even saw one of a guy getting arrested for shining lasers. Last year though was a little different. Never caught the operators I believe.

I can only think of one drone operator that's been arrested recently. He was flying his drone over the Strip in Vegas.

FOD impact. There's no way the tire got into the engine, but something certainly did. The left rear outboard main is the tire that blew. That's near the back of the engine. The engine had damage to the inlet liner and fan blades, and appeared to have debris behind the blades.

Air Canada apparently has an objection to having wheels on their planes. AC715, an A319 from LaGuardia lost the outboard right main wheel, apparently on takeoff. It continued to Toronto and landed safely.
