"Monty Python star Terry Jones has died at the age of 77"
"Terry passed away on the evening of 21 January 2020 at the age of 77 with his wife Anna Soderstrom by his side after a long, extremely brave but
always good humoured battle with a rare form of dementia, FTD"
A distant relative of my cousin, Sodomus Soderstrom, perhaps?
Joking aside, that sucks, a lot, RIP
ETA, for those unaware, what makes the scene I've linked above so golden is that only a few of the actors knew the script for that scene beforehand,
the rest were simply told that whatever happens or is said, they're not to laugh.
The guys trying not to laugh aren't acting, it's legit stifled hysterics 👌

I loved all the middle aged women parts he played!
Especially Brian's mom:
[Crowd: We wish to speak to the Messiah!] What? He's not the messiah. He's a very naughty boy!
I did not know that he wrote children's books! Or that he was the reason for the absurdist humor of the Pythons. Makes me want to track down the other
stuff he directed and have a good binge watch.
Writing about dead icons whom you've never really met strikes me as something he would've made fun of, but darnit, loved the man ...impossible not to,
at least if you were of a certain time and temperament.
Every death is the snuffing out of an entire universe ...and with artists, there's the selfish thought that there will be no more entertainment from
them.
Meh, at least he has many strangers getting all sniffley and that's far more than most get.
Knowing this was going to happen, as the news he was sick had been out there for a while, but I just might be all cried out after hearing the news of
Neil Peart's passing.
Terry always seemed like a very cool dude. He and Palin were the two I think would be great companions over a pint or two.
I've been a little busy the last couple of days but tomorrow I'm gonna throw in a couple random episodes of MP in honor of another of my idols growing
up now being gone.
