Singer David Olney Dies During Performance

I cannot say I ever heard of this guy. I've probably heard his songs, and probably even liked them.
But, I got to thinking....71 isn't all that old, but what a way to go.
Not bedridden, not ill that we knew, not horribly diseased....almost as perfect as passing away in your sleep.

Olney died of a heart attack during a performance onstage at the 30A Songwriter Festival in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, on January 18, 2020, at age 71.[3][5][11] "David was playing a song when he paused, said 'I'm sorry' and put his chin to his chest. He never dropped his guitar or fell off his stool. It was as easy and gentle as he was," Scott Miller said.[11]

I saw this article yesterday, and debated on posting, but I'm not familiar with the guy.

It's sad that he died, but it's almost beautiful the way it happened. He didn't fall off his stool, didn't grab his chest, or act like he was in pain. Nothing happened except he stopped playing, apologized, and his head bowed down.

Body still upright, guitar in his lap. Almost like the batteries suddenly ran out.

So bizarre, but so peaceful.

The great comedian/magician Tommy Cooper died to the sound of laughter- which was normally continuous when he was onstage anyway.

(I read about the event- I've never actually seen it before)
