As one who likes guitars and does a little toying around them, I stumble across his YouTube videos, but the latest one here posted already had over 200,000 views.
It really surprised me how excited he gets over the prices, well, I would too if I lived in the States. But here I get to see and play these guitars first hand and in most cases the prices are a bit lower, in some cases about 30% cheaper. I think if he had a chance to visit Japan's largest music stores he'd trip out. Heck so do I. I like to have a few beers first before opening the doors. Thousands of guitars to see and I'm not joking and this is on one street with many stores.
Enjoy the video.

Yes. Darrel Braun. He's getting the word out on Wang Amps.
I love it when you get lucky with cheap guitars. My musician buddies and I have had our share over the years. The best one has probably been a cheapie Fender Squire bass that a friend bought years ago. He just wanted to see what it would be like. He still has it. It's fantastic.

I once bought a no-name guitar for a few bucks at s garage sale. Seriously, I have no idea what make of guitar it was. It had these cool weird-looking pickups. It had a gorgeous deep, fuzzy tone. I left it at someone's house at some point, and never got it back. I hope someone's playing it.

Long time lurker on this site, love the discussions and opinions of everyone on here.

Anyway.... I'm a luthier with a youtube channel if anyone likes guitar building videos and soundtest etc... I'll post a link below. I just finished a quilted maple PRS with purple heart pinstripes, it feels awesome and has Seymor Duncan phatcat p90s. Here's the sound test video,

You'd be amazed at how inexpensive a guitar is to make from scratch

Embedded your vid for you. Nice guitar, I've always liked the P90's. Liking the dovetail amp cab too! Do you also make cabs for sale?

I made that cabinet and hand wired the amp. Pulled apart a 1950s Hammond S6 chord organ with 2x10 Jensen speakers. Its a 5E3 Tweed Deluxe and it's like holding lightning.

I've got a website and am always open for new projects

Thanks for embedding!

5E3 with Jenson's is a great combo.

The reason I asked about the cab is....I have a Fender Pro JR w/10" that I'm thinking about converting to a Pine cab w/12".

Make sure the impedance can be switched, most fenders come apart pretty easy, could be a fun project. The 5E3 in the video is pine, but I've always wanted to build a cedar speaker cabinet, its extremely light, reverberates like crazy and is more resistant to swelling than pine.

As long as the ohms are the same it wouldn’t matter would it?
Impedance is what gives you a particular ohm yes? 4,8 or 16 ohm?

Braun has a thing for "how crooked can I make my smile for the thumbnail?"

His vids might have some good info, but c'mon, what's next? Duckface?

I'm a gigging guitarist and I love guitar vids like any music nut,but I give him a miss.
