I walked into the kitchen the other day and found my Savannah cat sitting in one of the cat trees.
Below him in the cat house, was his nemesis-Adrienne.

Fully expecting a cat fight to break out at any moment, I hit record on my iPad.
What happened instead was completely unexpected and very funny to me, considering the usually behaviour.
Nova moved very slowly, with each step precisely articulated, to not agitate Adrienne.

When ever Nova starts running around, Adrienne goes out of her way to bully him.
She doesn’t like Nova much.
She stalks him and comes barreling down the hall at him.
She’s a grumpy, fat tabby cat.
Nova’s a tall and lean, Savannah kitten.

He’s only 6 months old, so still very much a baby, with a lot of growing to do still.

Something tells me that when Nova is standing twice the height of Adrienne in a year, he will still be scared of her.
When she charges him, he drops to the ground and rolls onto his back in submission.
Which is good!
Don’t get me wrong, it’s very good.
Nova could destroy Adrienne with a single bite, even at his age, considering he’s part African Serval.
When I’m play fighting with him, he latches on like a Pitbull and it’s another fight trying to pry him off.

And the drop kick.

I'm allergic to cats so I always have a German Shepherd or two. That said, if I wasn't allergic I would own a Savannah. They're just awesome looking. Actually, I like the servals too so it would be a toss-up. You sir, have some really cool looking pets.

I still laugh hard when watching that drop kick video.
It was just so unexpected.
I thought they were gonna play but instead it became an assault lol.

How much will Nova weigh when fully grown? He looks very much like my two Ocicats, which weigh in between 15-16#.

He’s 16 lbs now at 6 months.
Savannah’s grow until 2.5 years old.
So probably around 30 once fully grown.

That is just a guess though.
He could just continue to get taller and stay very lean.
In which case, probably 20-22lbs.

Hey awesome cats! I didn't realize that they get that big even by 6 months old. My cat Lincoln is Mostly black tuxedo and he's a very long and tall voyeuristic little panther. Your 6 month old makes mine look like 6 week old kitten! Lol Beautiful cat my friend can't wait to see when he's a year old

Thanks a lot!
Ya,Nova is quite the character.
Evil devil at night though.
I had to be up at 3:50am to drive to work.
That little bugger decided he want to play at midnight last night.
I ended up sleeping on the couch because he wouldn’t leave me alone in my bed lol.
