IMHO:

- Intel was apprised of the launcher movement early today. I am guessing/hoping US forces in the region adopted an appropriate posture.

- I have no clue on casualties. RT is showing missile debris at Taji. Those missed anything significant. I pray for those in harms way.

- Iran was not going to stand by on this one. They lost face big time. Time to let her neighbors know she is still important.

- Possible targets? Anything entering non-Iranian air space (fighters). Anything launching into non-Iranian territory.

If I were running the show, I would protect US/allied assets in the region and hold back on striking in Iran other than missile launchers. Tomorrow the media blitz would include a narrative of the US demonstrating restraint and the threat to the region from Iran.

So far what I know is unfolding in the US and Iran situation,

- NO US military service personal fatalities from the Iranian strikes
- Iran has carried two waves of strikes against US/Coalition bases in Iraq
- USAF scrambled in to Iraqi airspace
- No confirmation of US retaliatory action yet
- Israel, UAE on high alert for Iranian retaliatory action

Hopefully a de-escalation happens.

That's what it is looking like.

In all honesty, it looks like they were trying to bait the President into response with agressive posturing and a display of rocket attacks...

So far all we got are iranian disinfo, no US casualties, Iraqi bases hit, a ton of leftist cowards quivering with fear and a lot of angry threats from Iran.

Hannity is claiming all missles missed their targets.

Of course, that's Hannity, so don't anyone hold their breath. He's been known to be wrong on multiple occasions. Me, I hope he's right this time.

I heard that too... Is Iran possibly provoking a response with zero US casualties?

Just watched a live interview with a gent speaking on aljazeera claiming air activity over Baghdad and the green zone...both helicopter and jets...but unfortunately he cannot comment on those activities taking place but there is active activities happening. I really hope the US Embassy hasn't been struck! That will be all it needed to make this Extremely devastating for Iran

Maybe this was just a show of force to tell the US to back the F off?

Perhaps cooler heads will prevail.

Because if Iran wanted to , they could F # up in Iraq for the US, and vie versa.

Saw a tweet that said:

Iran is saying that if there is no retaliation from America for these latest attacks then they will stop attacking. But if America attacks then their response will be crushing and wide spread. #iran #soleimani #war

Twitter

Who knows.

a reply to: Arnie123Ok here are the images of the crashed missile that missed its mark outside of Erbil.

Oh, well its only speculation, but when the Chinese government said that they would be launching permanent satellites into orbit over a specific urban center for the sake of "saving energy by adding illumination to the night sky" I pretty much figured foreign travelers. It is now 2020 when they said those things will start to appear in their skies. Hmm, i wonder what else maintains a static position over key production hubs??? Oh wait, carrier strikes groups and battalion size formations perhaps, during normal human conflict on Earth. But these will be in space in orbit??

China is planning to launch its own 'artificial moon' by 2020 to replace streetlamps and lower electricity costs in urban areas, state media reported Friday. Chengdu, a city in southwestern Sichuan province, is developing "illumination satellites" which will shine in tandem with the real moon, but are eight times brighter, according to China Daily.

What we are witnessing is the smoke and mirrors right now. So wtf is in the sky while we look at holes in the ground?

Where is John Kerry anyways?

Also I'm sure some people may need to be rounded up tomorrow regardless if Congress is in session or not (ie, all those people who have Iranian advisors and IT people they like to have around)

Well, Iran controls their media, maybe they share the offensive with their citizens and claim the US backed down for the sake of optics with their people, which is why we might see no US casualties.
