Can you point to where he advocated shooting someone with a drone? Maybe you misread what he wrote.

You quoted it in your response to him:

"Hopefully this will be the excuse needed for droning Iran's leadership into the next life!"

You then proceeded to equate it to a full on ground invasion.
Then you made some stupid comment about "voting for a republican president = war", as if Obama, Clinton, LBJ, Truman, FDR etc were republicans.

You're welcome.

While it might take a rocket scientist to make the rockets that hit these bases, it doesn't take one to understand that of course, this would be Iran's response to being provoked. If Trump miscalculated this, my judgment is better than his!

Psychologically, Trump is used to scaring people or threatening them to get what he wants because he has too much of a power advantage over regular folk. Maybe he doesn't understand normal human interactions and responses because he's been so isolated from them?

S&P is down almost 2% already it it's very early trading in futures, usually it doesn't really move until the last 2 hours of the day before market open when the market is actually choosing a direction for the day

I'm expecting at least a 10% market correction from this maybe even more.. people will notice that you can bet 100% when people's pensions and IRAs get wiped out they won't be cheering this on anymore

Just would like to report that I am at the local grocery store and people are carrying on like they give no F#s.

The markets may have had a subtle shift, but society? Nope, normal everyday night.
Wait until gas hits $10 a gallon, then they'll take notice.

That would be true in the old days. Now, United States produces more oil than it consumes. We sell the excess to other countries.

Ok, i get it, you want zero response, you want zero conflict, you want Trump to do nothing, and Iran should be able to do as they please.... totally understand.. lets never respond, ever again..

So we should take Iraq's advice, pack up everything and bring our soldiers home? I'm all for that.

...a country thats been threatening another, and that has been involved in many other fights in other countries around the world for the last 2 decades...

LOL. Are you at least able to acknowledge the fact that you perfectly described Iran as well?

Im on no ones side in this, the entire thing frankly is a immature farce between two leaderships who are basically identical in nature... just pointing out some serious hypocrisy by the poster i qouted, basically calling for divine wind upon the enemy but without any consequences in return. I mean whos gonna actually fight the the fights and die for America? I guess some one elses son or daughter?..

The fact this thread is full of people chapping at the bit for blood and fire shows how far ATS has fallen since Trump got in... i like how people talk about Irans kill count over the years and we gotta make em pay but ignore a supposed American ally like good old Saudi Arabia (including 9/11) but hey their buddy buddies so cant touch them despite them killing a god damn lot more than Iran has... pure god damn hypocrisy.

And like I said, both sides Iran and America can go to hell if this goes further... /signed The Rest of the sane World.

Invading Iran would be suicidal! I don't see why the US would want to do such a thing. What benefit will come from it?

True, BUT:

If one contractor killed resulted in Trump killing a very important state official that then resulted in this escalated response from Iran, I can only imagine the response for such a widespread attack on our soldiers in Iraq, even if there are minimal to zero casualties.

I'm worried, for everyone.

That is what worries me.

You have to be blind or stupid to have not to have seen this coming.

This whole attack could create a new ISIS. Get the troops out NOW. This is not our war, we have no reason to get involved, let them duel at ten paces because we get involved we get caught in the crossfire.

Hey, at this point, I would recommend just going home! It's too much of a mess to make anything useful out of it for us! Have you heard of any ideas that might fix things up over there in our favor? What's our goal over there, anyway?

In its Telegram channel Iranian Revolutionary Guard says that the “Pentagon reports that the U.S. will respond to Iran’s attacks.” IRGC then says in a footnote, “This time we will respond to you in America”

Because America needs MORE help.

Iran is upping the ante: Iranian state affiliated Tasnim news has warned Hezbollah will target Israel if there is a US retaliation. Iran's proxies in Iraq have announced the start of "Operation Crushing Response"

They know full well if they can drag Israel into it, the entire ME will implode. Right wrong or neither, other Muslim countries aren’t going to stand around and watch the Israelis go after another Muslim county.
