It's a nice sentiment, unfortunately those who wield the power are too busy securing their empires to worry about what they consider to be acceptable loss of civilian life. If soldiers are treated as cannon fodder, what chance do civilians in the path of destruction have.

It's wrong in every sense of the word, anyone with an ounce of compassion can see that. However, conflicting ideology and the power behind them dictates this sick game will continue till either there's a one world government or we annihilate everyone.

Always thought if true journalists and media would portray the atrocities of war, showing in graphic detail the nature of the beast the public just wouldn't stand for it. Unfortunately mutilated children don't sell subscriptions and most people would rather live in ignorance.

Human inteligence can be our savior but also our end, we must respect other life forms and must set aside ourself, we are finding ways to become more, when nature become less. To many voices now, the voices of reason is drowned out in a sea of egocentric noise.

We could do better as stewards of this planet (certainly not as good as Teddy Roosevelt) to preserve life forms such as yourself; but, dare I say humans are not actually valued in many areas of this world. I would start with a campaign championing the HUMAN ITSELF; for its ingenuity and far reaching potential to save/preserve this spaceship earth and all specie from the must humble (flea) to the most outrageous (T-Rex; RIP).
